Of course it’s a good thing if you have it but it’s hardly essential. You can overcome a lack of elite speed with some decent attack. Unfortunately for us we don’t have either at the moment.

We also had the speed you seem to believe is needed to be successful in French a while back and that didn’t exactly work out.
