Affirmative!!! Still kicking goals regarding our talent identification!!! yet Lane is on the bench nowhere near worth the money he is getting, even at his best, 2 years ago he was a journeyman now we are paying him well over half a mil, and Davey is on ? Lol

Lane is a tremendous player. I'm not sure that he's being used correctly, but he'd be one of my first picked every week. Agree it's a shame if Davey goes. He's got some real heart, strength and skill.

So when the Cowboys won the comp, Paul Green's Assistant Coaches were John Cartwright, Jason Demetriou and David Furner.

When Robinson won his first Premiership his assistants were Paul Green and Jason Taylor.

In all of Craig Bellamy's years his Assistant Coaches have been Kearney, Arthur, McGuire, Seilbold, Walters, O'Brien, et al.

Interesting at least.

Why's it interesting?

wont be surprised if teams 1 and 2 are both playing week 2.
I really think we will be up next weekend and use last years exit as motivation against the storm, I still believe we have been holding back the attack and haven’t shown all the trick shots!
And I think the roosters are the only team in the comp that can bounce back from 60 points and win the next week, Penrith will be super nervous! very interesting two games next week.

I so much hope you are right about us holding back in the attack. I just don't think Arthur has the imagination to do something like that. But I hope. If we beat Melbourne, it will be soooo good.

Whilst I don’t have confidence we’ll win, I am confident we will make a real game of it and their won’t be much in it either way. A couple of big moments (like Gutho’s try saver last night) will determine the winner. There will be no blowout.

Roosters will comfortably beat Penrith who will be out in straight sets. I’ve been Saying for 8 weeks they don’t have another gear and have shown the hand and peaked way too early

FB rumour we are in negotiations with Jarrett Subloo a 20 year old 5/8 from Canberra. Currently part of their development squad.

That would be weird, if true - Brown is only 20 himself, and Moses is only 26, and likely to stay on.

Back-ups are good, but it's a curious decision.

I think Moses is a fair chance of costing too much for us after next year (he has a player option so he will be receiving offers). But as you say, everyone needs backups. Look at all the nuffies who ran out for Melbourne today.

not really, with field, smith , taka and Salmon not signed we need some back ups in the halves. And I doubt he would cost to much or expect an NRL start immediately just an opportunity.

I just think it is weird - surely the young Raider would be more likely to play more First Grade, more quickly, and more regularly, at Canberra?

I think their Pommy halfback is finishing up next year, so that would open the door for him.

At the Eels, barring any injuries, he would be very unlikely to play any First Grade.

I'd say it would come down to which club already has a backup half on the books. We have Jordan Rankin but I suspect he is more of a fullback/centre. And Arthur's does seem to prefer halves who are quick off the mark.

I think you are off your head. Parra are done. They won't win another game this year. To many issues to overcome in their game that were never successfully addressed during the season.

As for the Roosters, they have either finally hit the wall and lost their legs or it was just an aberration due to them already knowing where they were finishing in the finals so didn't take it as seriously as the Rabbits always do and will bounce back and play their normal top level game. Question is are the Panthers good enough to overcome a Roosters outfit at their best be it still not 100% fit?
