These signing smack of taking a punt on cheaper contracts having upside. Cartwright, Higrave and Roache are all projects and are no way playing in the 17 until they tick a whole bunch of boxes.

I reckon Cartwright, if he came, would be on top 17 money. If not from us he could get it at plenty of other clubs. Not the big bucks he was on at the Titans but at least $250k. Speaking of which, I wouldn't be surprised if Papali'i was on that much or more.

And since. Giving away penalties hasn't stopped plenty of players from making rep teams or winning comps.

We were the least penalised team in the NRL this year. I suspect it's actually a weakness of ours. We give up too many quick play-the-balls, especially near our line.

I'd say 200k would stop it. I also reckon the Titans paid him out around 150-200k.

Time will tell...You might be right, but I prefer to judge them by what they are capable of, and what they achieve NOW..and not by what their 'scrap books' say about them...
