Addo-Carr is bloody lazy, though:

Daniel Tupou 20 runs for 227m
Josh Addo-Carr 7 runs for 66m

He's a gun - but I, for one, can't justify paying mega bucks for a guy who doesn't get involved enough.

With Semi Radradra, you had a guy who would make 15 runs a game.

Addo-Carr is like Latrell Mitchell - super talented, but lazy as f**k.

It's a no from me, tbh.

Well, that's largely b/c Tupou is a giant and makes hit ups after kicks. You don't want the Fox doing that if the defensive line is organised. I'm not a huge fan of his but it just seems like sensible tactics to me. I don't see it as laziness.

Even at the Storm, he regularly makes fewer than 10 runs per game.

He should be darting from dummy-half a bit, to help his forwards out, to justify a massive contract.

I expect to see guys who want $800,000+ to be contributing more.

The Storm seem to do ok with him playing his current role. As long as he mans up in defense I'd leave him doing what he's doing.

He's a great player - but not for the money he is asking.

Ferguson cops a lot of criticism - and a lot of it is warranted -, but the guy busts his arse every time he plays. He makes plenty of tough runs, and jumps into dummy-half to give our pack a break.

It is my firm belief that a player demanding huge money needs to be heavily involved; it's why I think the Cowboys made a huge mistake signing Holmes as a fullback, and why the Rabbitohs made a mistake with Mitchell at fullback.

We won't be signing him, anyway - but if we did, he's a winger, and a winger only.

Gutherson isn't the most talented fullback, but he puts himself in a position to have an imprint on games by simply being super fit, and getting heavily involved (maybe too involved, at times).

A player like Gutherson is, imo, an absolute steal at $800,000, because he puts you in a position to win more games than you lose, by simply getting involved.

Addo-Carr is not good value for money, with his lack of involvement.

And this is why in a team without a dominant pack and top shelf half, he would be back to being ordinary. Although he does make some very good reads in defence.

Oh, I'm not suggesting signing him at all. He's not a top priority for us (or shouldn't be). Just think that his style of play suits his build and abilities. As unlikely as it would be, trying to sign someone like Bradman Best, or another top line genuine centre is where we need to look. I'm assuming that the Dumpster is not a centre prospect in the short-term
