BA changed Moses defensive nous in an offseason.

For all we know he could have done the same with Waqa this year, we won’t know until Waqa gets on the field and match fit again

Perham is a fringe first grader whereas Waqa Blake is an established first grade NRL player. It seems bizarre to me that Perham would get priority over Blake considering he didn’t even have a pre season here.


My point is that Blake Ferguson was nearly as poor as Waqa Blake last season but he has managed to turn it around.

Maybe Fergo has turned it around because of who is inside him now, providing quality defence and feeding him the ball to score. Waqa was poor in both those areas and if comes back hope he has improved there.

You’re getting it all arsed up. Souths offered him a reduced contract for $700 x 1 season. He’s currently on $1m per season.

Yes, I know that he is currently on a million, but he is willing to take the less amount that Souths are offering, but not for just one year. The years is the sticking point, not the amount. He want the security of a longer contract.

That's why I repeat it is ludicrous what Souths are doing.

TRANSFER NEWS: Panthers showing interest in Broncos forward

Newcastle great Matty Johns believes Moses could demand a high-figure deal from rival clubs following the announcement of Sharks veteran Chad Townsend signing a lucrative contract wth the Cowboys from 2022.

Speaking on SEN, Johns linked the Bulldogs, Sharks and Broncos as potential suitors to the Eels half.

“Mitchell Moses is the interesting one, he’s the premium because he is contracted next year to the Eels but it’s in his favour,” Johns said.

“He’s currently at $850k, and if Chad (Townsend) is at $800k, then I’d imagine the Dogs, Broncos and possibly the Sharks would look to offer Mitchell Moses $1.1 million.”

Andrew Johns, a mentor of Moses, backed the former Wests halfback to see out his near future with the Eels in hope of ending their premiership drought.

“I think he’ll stay, at that stage of his career at age 26-27 in a strong team that’s pushing for a premiership, they’ll finish in the top four,” Johns said.

Everything i have heard talked about said it was about the number of years not the amount ... so i would assume the 700k is acceptable to him, he would like 3 yrs, would settle for 2, soufs only wanted to offer 1

Matty Johns linked only Bulldogs, Sharks and Broncos to Moses and I cant see him with any of them TBH.
Barrett has settled on Flanagan, Bronco's are banking on Dearden and Sharks will end up with Reynolds.
