Barrett has settled on Flanagan, Bronco's are banking on Dearden and Sharks will end up with Reynolds.

Off field what off field issues??? It was a story for 5 mins and then Donkey's do what they do best sweep sweep. It's the only thing they still do well as a club. It's glorious living up here and them being so shit.

Yes, I know that he is currently on a million, but he is willing to take the less amount that Souths are offering, but not for just one year. The years is the sticking point, not the amount. He want the security of a longer contract.

That's why I repeat it is ludicrous what Souths are doing.

How can you say it's ludicrous when you don't have all the facts? It's perfectly reasonable to think that Reynolds will only be worth $700k for one more year. $700k is an elite first grader while an average NRL player is worth less than half that. It's arguable that Reynolds is even an elite player this year, let alone still will be in 2023. They also might have a youngster coming through who they assess will be good enough to play second fiddle to Mitchell/Walker/Cook (fourth fiddle?) in 2023.

You need to think more before coming up with your big ideas and criticising the people who get paid to make these decisions. Signing Adam Reynolds on big money for more than two years carries huge risk. That should be obvious to anyone. Obviously it still might be necessary for a club to do it, but you can't be critical of a club that is reluctant.

Everything i have heard talked about said it was about the number of years not the amount ... so i would assume the 700k is acceptable to him, he would like 3 yrs, would settle for 2, soufs only wanted to offer 1

Because if he signs for one there won't be anything close to a $700k offer the year after.
