Another Dylan Brown is shit post.
If he was on the market I reckon that 13 or 14 clubs would take him in a heartbeat.
Sure but would he be worth the money as a playmaker?
Just because there will always be clubs and good money for a player with potential and hype, it doesn't mean he is worth the money some will pay for him.
Ask yourself how much would the Storm or Rooster pay for him as a
half? If the answer is upwards of $500-600K, then maybe he is playing crap as a playmaker due to our coaching staff's inability to get the best out of him, cos it wouldn't be on what he has actually produced thus far on the field.
Like many on here have already mentioned, thank God he is a very good defender. It will always mean that he is of NRL standard and most clubs will see value in that, but he isn't a playmakers arse hole at the moment, so eventually whoever signs him next, if they can't get the best out of him, watch him go the way of the Milf to some degree. If he gets in excess of $700K, that is what I believe it would cost a club to take him from us, then they will expect a player that can make things happen and not a guy who eats up the space on the outside or is a handbreak that doesn't know when to pass or can't pass well.
We wouldn't have a clue right now because of our lack of coaching talent. Time will tell I suppose. I'm leaning towards him being decent, but not great at the moment, but hopefully his lack of progress has been due to our coaching issues and style and not his own limitations.
