Has anyone been watching Talatau Amone the last couple of weeks for the Dragons?

Now that is what I consider real talent as a 5/8th. This boy can play. Watch what he can do with only 9 appearances to his name in the NRL and only 19 years of age.

D. Brown has NEVER shown that type of ability or class with the ball, in all the time he has been in the top grade. He is also a runner like Dylbags. If these last couple of games are an indication of what he is capable of, he will be a superstar NRL player within a year or two and add Jayden Sullivan in the halves, the Dragons will have one hell of a halves combo to build their squad around. Watch this team become a contender in 2-3 years with these two running the show.

Sure Brown is an elite defender for a half, but his ability with the ball is pedestrian next to a player like Amone. Well so far anyway. Boy I hope he eventually comes good as a playmaker and kicker in general play. I really don't want us to tie up huge coin to keep him and all we get is a great defender. That is not the primary duty of a playmaker. The main duty and the reason you pay them the big bucks is for their ability to manage the team and to breakdown the opposition, otherwise you have what is happening now to our team.

We lack speed yes, but it is compounded because our playmakers have been ordinary with the ball in hand. The only thing we do better then most teams is kick in general play due to Moses' exceptional boot for the most part. Our forwards in particular have been unable to jump on the back of a real good ball playing playmaker and the brutality that they have had to play with as a consequence has once again cruelled them at the backend of the season.

We need better coaching and genuine speed to address these two issues correctly.

Prediction for the Storm game if the Storm is at full strength. Storm 50+ Eels 6, if we are lucky.

Another Dylan Brown is shit post.

If he was on the market I reckon that 13 or 14 clubs would take him in a heartbeat.

1 try, 1 disallowed try, 33 tackles. He had a great game. Im convinced Dylans attack or lack there of is not his cause. He would be a 1 million dollar player under Bellamy. If I were Dylan and our coaching set up didnt change Id be outta there like a shot out of a gun.

See this is high risk high reward. Me and Mik are winners.
Pou you play it safe like BA. Boring
Just like BA, I won't be playing it safe come finals time. Don't forget we averaged 24 points per game in last year's finals. The year before that we averaged 29 points per game. We learned our lesson in 2017 when we only averaged 16 per game. Finals is all about attack. f**k defence. We've been preparing for weeks!

Yes. After 10mins I went this is a star being unearthed. I said the same on here about Katoni staggs and Penisini.
Hey remember Ram when I said THE VICOUS FISH will be a top 5 forward in the game? Back when him and Tepai where coming thru at sametime. I said let's see who goes further. They come through with same big wraps at same time.

D.Brown I feel is being choked however by our robotic approach to a game. I still do not see a superstar but he is better then what is allowed to do.

Brown has had a lot more impact ever since being moved to the left. He gets a lot more ball and Moses has to inject himself into the game and go looking for the game. The Cowboys game may not have been perfect but I was really liking what we were seeing from our attack, plenty of shape and side to side footy.

Sure but would he be worth the money as a playmaker?

Just because there will always be clubs and good money for a player with potential and hype, it doesn't mean he is worth the money some will pay for him.

Ask yourself how much would the Storm or Rooster pay for him as a half? If the answer is upwards of $500-600K, then maybe he is playing crap as a playmaker due to our coaching staff's inability to get the best out of him, cos it wouldn't be on what he has actually produced thus far on the field.

Like many on here have already mentioned, thank God he is a very good defender. It will always mean that he is of NRL standard and most clubs will see value in that, but he isn't a playmakers arse hole at the moment, so eventually whoever signs him next, if they can't get the best out of him, watch him go the way of the Milf to some degree. If he gets in excess of $700K, that is what I believe it would cost a club to take him from us, then they will expect a player that can make things happen and not a guy who eats up the space on the outside or is a handbreak that doesn't know when to pass or can't pass well.

We wouldn't have a clue right now because of our lack of coaching talent. Time will tell I suppose. I'm leaning towards him being decent, but not great at the moment, but hopefully his lack of progress has been due to our coaching issues and style and not his own limitations.
