I stand by it. Dylan Brown is an excellent footballer. His running game is up there with Munster's and he is a better defender. If he got as much good ball as Munster his playmaking stats would be much better than they are.

It's not all about stats mate. He is the number four playmaker in our team. If there's a quick play-the-ball is going to Moses, Gutherson or Mahoney to make the play. Drown is more of a support player in our attack.

I'd like to see Waqa Blake have a go at fullback. Dylan Brown and Penisini in the centres, Guth at 6.

Unfortunately I don't think Waqa is a smart footballer and is limited with his passing so not good qualities to have for a fb.

I would. I think he has 2 yrs left on his current contract. If the dogs are willing to pay $400k per season and only cost us $450k per season then that's a steal. He is exactly the type of forward we need with excellent leg drive and would look even better in a better pack and team

I was coming to this thread to post something similar.

We have strong forwards, but as soon as we lost RCG we seemed a bit exposed for depth.

I think Thompson is on massive overs at 850k (if thats what he is really on) .... but half the price might be ok.

Do we think we can afford Thompson? Even at the discounted rate?

He has a steady issue with the judiciary .... is that a concern?

To be honest would rather keep Makatoa in the top 30 for half the discounted price, been the best forward in the whole reggies comp and been better than average in his NRL GAMES.

So if Dylan is still the same talented player that he showed us in his first season. Then it must be the coaching then. It just doesn’t make sense how far his game has gone backwards. It’s either his attitude or the shit coaching.
