I guess the point is we can't know what is fiction or not. Who decides which historical accounts are accurate and which aren't?You tell me. Is it fiction or non fiction, or like ours, something in between?

I think that's perfect to be honest. Well written and to the point.

Club Statement
Over recent weeks there has been media speculation in relation to certain players at our Club who are off contract at the end of 2022. The media has a job to do in reporting player movements which we respect as we understand the public interest in our players.
Over the last six months, we have regularly engaged with all our players and their managers in a private and productive manner, balancing the Club’s intent to ensure players are paid fairly and their value is appropriately recognized, whilst ensuring we are assembling our strongest possible roster year on year.
Our approach is not to engage publicly in speculation regarding player negotiations. It is disrespectful to the players involved, is unhelpful in building a team that is set up for success, and most importantly, goes against how we aim to operate as a Club.
To date, our discussions with players and their managers have been robust, professional and constructive. These discussions are ongoing and we look forward to updating you shortly with some exciting news on our roster for 2022, 2023 and beyond.
Geez Ennis and Mary. Not sure what to make of that announcement.
Ennis is a 'brooolyent' signing....No issues at all for mine. Mary is also part of Freddie's NSW set up I see. I think Ennis could be an excellent addition for Mahoney/Roache etc.
I do.I guess the point is we can't know what is fiction or not. Who decides which historical accounts are accurate and which aren't?
We 'rely' on that type of game because that's where our money is tied up. If we spent some of that money on other positions we would 'rely' on a game that suited those players, like pre-2019 when we attacked mostly out wide.Do the Panthers rely on the power game and chasing the collision like we do??
We had to replace Joey, I guess that's Ennis.Geez Ennis and Mary. Not sure what to make of that announcement.
Somebody certainly does, and that's the problem.I do.
The Storm have won grand finals with players who knew it was their final season at the club. If they're professional then they will conduct themselves professionally. There is something wrong with our system if we are arguing about player movements and rosters for 2023 and this is only 2021.
I know it's been said before but how can a player have his mind fully on the job next year when he knows he won't be here the year after.
No sir, I don't like it.
The Rwandan Hutus were partial to a bit of CRT. They even found the logical way to apply it. #CriticalRacePracticeKAW theory would be taught
How many wingers get their opportunities from their centre these days? Modern wingers take most of their passes straight from the dummy half. When they do score the passer is a spine player wrapping around the back. The centre is just a decoy. In every game last year Ferguson touched the ball more than Blake: https://mc.championdata.com/nrl/Fergo had an awesome first year and very very good last last. It could be argued his average second year was due to waqa Blake and limited opportunities from him.
Possibly, TigersWe had to replace Joey, I guess that's Ennis.
EDIT: ^^^ Ennis is a big fan of Rheed. Maybe it's a ploy to keep our hooker ?
Mary McGregor has a lot of experience and IIRC assisted at Origin level.
Any word on Ryan Carr ? There was talk that he was being poached to go back to ESL.
No team that ever won a premiership was a 100% chance of winning. You build until you're at your best and then hope for some luck. Whether you jag a comp that year comes down to injuries (including the opposition) and bounce of the ball on the day. Some teams win more premierships than others because at their best they are a higher chance of winning. The Storm might be a 50% premiership chance in their best years. They might still be a 10% chance in their worst years. That's because they have so many resources at their disposal. A Sydney club not based in the inner city might only be a 20% chance of winning at their best and 0% in a rebuilding year. The idea of building to a guaranteed premiership is a falsehood. It's just sliding percentages year after year. You only see premierships (and non-premierships) as inevitable because your human brain wants to see everything as a story, with obvious cause and effect. Try listening to your lizard brain instead. A bunch of things could happen and in the end only one will, based on probability and random chance.I’d be fine with having to shed players because we were premiers. I’m not fine with the roster regressing when we’re only a week 2 finals side.
Having other clubs subsidise your players is only one way of getting more value out of them than their cost under the salary cap. Other ways are just signing them cheaper in the first place, like we did with Papali'i, Niukore and Mahoney. Or like the Roosters did with every player enticed by investment and post-footy career opportunities. The Panthers have done it too, by spending big on junior recruitment/retention. This gives them cap advantages with the handful of players that end up in the top 30. It's not just about finding a player some other club is happy to subsidise. I doubt the Warriors were subsidising Papali'i this year. Nobody will be subsidising Penisini next year if we get $500k worth of footy out of him.So which above average players are we going to have subsidised by other clubs moving forward?
