I think we ran that side out the most.
Solid local junior forged a decent career with us and the chooks.Forgot about Chad!
As a junior in Auckland he often played centre. f*ck, what a handful. That was his secret. Besides his obvious strength, it was the quick speed and momentum that he took to the collision that propelled his wide nuggetty body into the defense that made him so hard to contain. Speed once again is the secret (not so secret) ingredient that generally makes the best attacking footballers in our game. If you are wide and powerful then it makes you even harder to stop.
Well, he only played 10 minutes at Souths. Apparently he left training after 10 minutes and Langmack screamed at him "Where are you going" Fui replies "I play for 10 minutes, I train for 10 minutes". Next minute he's bound for Cumberland. Classic. You'd be happy if Fui was in his prime and available and we only played him for 5 min?
Yes he did. Great defender. Had a good second stint with us.He wore the 13 jersey more than anyone else that year: https://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/seasons/nrl-2005/parramatta/summary.html
Forgot about Chad!
Unless he was putting the shoulder through merkinsFui liked the collision
didn't like to tackle much though
Yeah. Kinda like Kikau.
The defenceUntil who's ready?
I thought maybe they were being respectful. The defence
They definitely still have to tackle. They just don't want the attacker to play the ball until they're ready.
I blame coaches. If they coached their teams to take more risks with the ball instead of just going for endless quick play-the-balls the defence wouldn't have to work so hard to slow them down.
Go and watch your local A grade side. Part timers everywhereI think coaches should have to have full time jobs. That would make the game essentially part time again which would be great.
