Best Eels debut I ever saw was Moimoi - his first run in First Grade set up our win.

He was phenomenal.

And he was phenomenal throughout his career, playing for some awful Eels sides.

I get laughed down all the time for saying this but I always mention Fui anytime a ‘most underrated player’ convo comes up.

Was the best impact prop in the game for a good 4-5 seasons, a lot of the time carrying a pretty average Eels pack. He had the ability to bust a game open which isn’t something many props can manage.

He’s remembered as a cult hero, but he was so much more than that…. And the big unit is still steamrolling merkins over in the UK

I, too, like Papali'i - but I just don't think he's irreplaceable.

I think our starting props are more important to how we

I'm more disappointed that we lost Mahoney; however, signing Hodgson to mentor Hands, and Yates, was a smart move.

I'm also disappointed to hear that we won't be offering Matterson a new ordeal

Fui was also quite fast. Unusual for a big fella.

I would go as far as to say that if we had Fui playing for us today at his peak, we would win the comp. That is how good he was. He would be considered the best prop or there abouts in the game with the rules of today. He would be almost unstoppable with the ball in hand and the momentum that he would create after each run would be devastating for opposition defenses to backup and defend.

I rate Fui the best attacking prop we have ever produced. Yes I know he wasn't in our juniors, but we did produce him none the less. He was a nobody before we got our hand on him.

Fui doesn't play, Fui doesn't train.

That was his secret. Besides his obvious strength, it was the quick speed and momentum that he took to the collision that propelled his wide nuggetty body into the defense that made him so hard to contain. Speed once again is the secret (not so secret) ingredient that generally makes the best attacking footballers in our game. If you are wide and powerful then it makes you even harder to stop.

Paulo and RCG are phenomenal. Our issue at the moment isn't that we need a better prop.

Of course they are, but if we had Fui in there too, he would almost be like our X-factor.

I think people forget how good Fui really was. I would put him in frond of every other prop of today in attack bar Payne Haas.

Remember that when both Junior and RCG are off the field, we lose much of our momentum against the better teams. That wouldn't happen if you brought on a young Fui. He would destroy an already tiring defense in todays game.

I stand by my opinion. I think we would steam roll all comers if we had him in our team now and win the premiership no worries.
