I can add something to this. A mate of my son (a skippy) was living in Japan up until Nov 21. During that time he was living with his JP girlfriend. Anywho, his brother is in a different part of JP and he lives with his wife.

Some idiot sends some gunga (small amount) in the post to his brother and it was intercepted at the JP border by sniffer dogs. Nek minute the police raid brother’s house in Tokyo AND his house in Osaka. BOTH are arrested. Guilt by association.

So apparently in JP you can be held just because and both brothers were in jail for 17 days before charges were dropped. During that time, the AU consulate could offer zero support other than provide a lawyer recommendation. It was explained that they arrest then investigate over there and stiff shit if you don’t like it.

Best of luck to Fergo.

Ferguson is another peanut that will never learn. Destined to end up digging holes or washing dishes for a living. He’s a bum and I’m glad we never gave him an extension.

Can we now rate some of our former peanuts?

Hayne, Norman, Jennings, Ferguson.
Where do they stand? I’m always fine with players being given a second chance unless of course they are convicted sex offenders but I look more at what got them there in the first place. This is the main reason why players like Gutherson and Moses should be celebrated.

You just never hear anything stupid about them particularly off field behavior. Even players that have made major mistakes like Mau and Danny Wicks that have turned their life around I admire but recidivist entitled peanuts I just can’t cop.

This is why there is a major risk in signing Curtis Scott. The No Dickheads policy should be maintained.

Not for a couple of weeks unless it’s a terrorism offence.
Yes so it does happen here. But I also strongly suspect by arrest they mean detain. And also by arrest then investigate, they mean observe, arrest and then investigate further.

Fergo 🥜🥜🥜 (but has more potential)
K Edwards 🥜🥜🥜

And yes - this is one reason why you should take a deep breath every time someone like gutho is negotiating - they have intagibles that count for them

Under Japanese law, persons suspected of a crime can be detained for 23 days without charge. The length of detention, up to the maximum period, is at the discretion of the public prosecutor and subject to the approval of local courts. For more information on the Japanese legal system please visit the Japan Federation of Bar Association's website.

Do you have a source for this? Sounds like hocus pocus.

He would have plenty of cash from Footy.
I lived with a girl who reckons she met him at a music festival in Canberra. She said HI and he spat in her face. She was quite attractive as well.
True? Unsure just her story.

Boom! Detention. The period of detention may be hefty but that’s how it happens in most countries
