Are you basing that on career? Or cherry picking Clearys last 2 games which where not great?
Cleary is a gun defender. Up there with Brown.
Moses is not a great defender. He is ordinary at best. Atleast now he puts his body on the line and slows them down a little. But if you want to compare Moses with a than then sure.
Let's just say MOSES is superior at everything.
I was merely making the point that stats don’t tell the full story and Moses’ defence is now better than below average.

Cleary's sample hasn't been representative of his career.
Moses’ sample also isn’t representative of his most recent form across a full season, which as you said has been improving. He averaged less than 2 missed tackles per game last year. That’s pretty f**king good for a half. In fact, it’s better than Cleary’s stats across the same period.

Always good when the Friday is a public holiday, as it means you can drink more than normal
He's actually only just started to break through the line this year. His attack has been almost non-existent previously. How does that constitute a 'great' running game? He is developing for sure. But he's not there yet.

What's the classification that's better than 'below average', but below 'his own average'? We need to find a spot for him.
(I agree, he's much better than he used to be. Heaps better.)

But that’s just one season. Moses’ current form seems like a reversion to mean.

He’s making more of his runs against a retreating defence. That’s why they’re turning into line breaks.
