Of course he is. I never said he wasnt entitled to give his opinion. I agree with what he said this week.

I though feel its a shame he lets himself gets played by arsehole journos who use him as a cheap headline every season.

They only ring him when we lose a few games or travelling poorly.

They never ring him for his opinion when we are travelling well and if they are doing ok they instead throw him a bone about the politics of the club looking for a negative about the club.

How are we traveling poorly? We have not lost more than 1 x game in a row all season?

Does traveling poorly equate to losing 1 x game in a row?

What is your definition of traveling poorly?

Do you think we are travelling well?? Since the Dragons game our form has been pretty f**king ordinary. Newcastle game was a training run that club has massive problems and looks spoon bound. Any team that has fought back has beat us or almost beat us. We are flat track bullies and nothing has changed since 2019. Hopefully we can fire up tonight and give them a good game otherwise it could be another flogging.

Its not really that we are traveling poorly throughout the entire season so far, it’s more that they wait until we cop an absolute flogging and gear up to get the Eels fans into a frenzy.

After Newcastle game I barely heard about us and how we played. All I heard about was how the Knights are a rabble and what is going to happen there.

Next week comes and it all turns to us. Get flogged by the Cowboys and they get on the blower to Pricey quick smart because they know he will put the boot into the club. Out some the stories about Moses needing to be re-signed and how Jake is hated by the fans (which turn into ‘Club bows to pressure and wields axe on Coach’s Son’ headlines when we finally get Opacic back.

They love firing up the Eels fans (which admittedly is not hard to do) and haven’t had a whole heap of chances to do so this year until last weeks game.

Well we aren’t travelling well, 5 from 8 is maybe a pass mark but bar Melbun and maybe Sharks we haven’t played a heavyweight. The Tigers and Cows losses were embarrassing and wouldn’t happen at one of the top clubs. But you are happy with a top 8 finish so your standards fit right in at this club. KPI’s and accountability are non existent. Merkin.

We've done pretty damn well considering our injury toll. We still have some players to come back though and a few very tough weeks coming up so hopefully we can weather the storm.

We’ve on more than half our games and are in 5th place. We’ve done this whilst losing a shitload of players to injury every week. We had a couple of losses that we probably should have won but that happens to every team, especially ones who have had injury problems like we have.
I will say though that in those games we have lost the Sharks, Tigers and Cowboys all had to play very well to beat us. It’s not like we lost to teams playing like shit.

I thought the Sharks were pretty good against us and the Cows hung in well. But we were that poor against the Tigers I don’t think it mattered how they played.

We were a team predicted to finish well inside the top 4 and while 5th have a tough month that could see us slip out of the top 8. Which is simply unacceptable, well not at Parra Spoons are accepted here with no consequences.

Look mate, I get why someone of your younger years would feel this way, Hell I too may feel this way if I was of your vintage and had never seen this mans will, courage and talent in action, but for one he is the greatest player this club has ever had pull on a jumper and I would rate probably in the top 5 or so to ever play the game and just plain pathetic and embarrassing that he isn't an immortal so I think he is entitled to an opinion whether we agree with it or not.

Secondly I think he is just frustrated that the club that he bled for more then anyone else and the greatest club in the league while he was playing, has fallen so far down and can't get its sh*t together enough to win one damn premiership in over a generation(generation is 28 years) since he retired. He is a single bloody minded hard nut of the old school kind and of course he will have an opinion when someone asks for it and won't mince words. Why should he? He has earned that right more then probably anyone and just because we may not like what he has to say, well tough. You're a big boy, learn to deal with it and take it for what it is. If his opinion didn't have merit, do you think he would be criticizing the club he loves?

You slam our club all the time, which is fine, but you never bled for it or are anywhere near his age watching year after year as long as he has us lurch from one failed era to the next. Remember this guy never, ever made excuses for anything. He was the ultimate warrior. All his team mates feared his wrath if they let the team down and didn't give 100%. He was our culture of success. So imagine how he must be sitting there watching and listening to all the clubs failures and and excuses and be apoplectic with frustration if not rage at times. People like him are just not tolerant of repeated failure. It's just not how they are wired and why they get off side with so many others.

Sure he isn't capable to fix it and has no real solution other then suggestions like the rest of us, even if he thinks he could, but like I said, he is entitled to them like we all are, but I think without the snickering and endless criticism that many on here are so quick and easy to hand out. He deserves a little better I think. It's not like he is making unfounded and outlandish statements anyway. What he is saying all of us, bar pou and his posse of apologists have been saying for over 35 years now.

You may say he is bitter, but I don't think he is. I just think that he is Ray F**king Price the guy that has never taken a backward step and sure as hell never made any F**king Excuses!!!
Well said Ram and it is a travesty that Price, Sterling and Kenny at the very least have not gained immortal status. No other team for a lifetime (except St George) have won 3 premierships in a row (and should have been 4 in 1984 when Kenny scored a legitimate try but disallowed by Hartley). The immortal selections have been chaotic imo where selections should have started in chronological order (from 1908 and then by decade) instead more current players have been selected before older players. Anyway good points made about, without question, the Eels greatest player.

Look were not travelling poorly but we aren't travelling great either.

3 weeks ago i said we should be 7-1 leading into tonights game with a tough month ahead.

We dropped 2 games we should not have dropped. I suppose you could excuse last week a bit more if we hadn't botched the tigers game. If we were 6-2 things would feel better.

5-3 though leading into Penrith game potentially go to 5-4 and back in the middle of pack of teams isnt going great when we should be up with the 2 big guns.

For me, it is disappointing.

Our forward pack is more or less in tact and that's where the games are won.

Or spine is more or less the same except when ja plays

Our bench had weakened.

Yes, we have lost outside backs but the majority of the team is there.

So....we got hammered last week playing the cowepokes in a tropical climate, and lost 2 other games (1 to the Sharks) in the final minute of play. We haven't done that bad. Oh and we beat the Storm in Melbourne.
The current three-quarter line is made up of fringe NRL players (abeit one with a lot of potential) at best, and without a lot of threat from that the opposition can focus their attentions on the middle. Even before the injuries we were short a top-class centre (that Curtis dickhead might have been useful).

Not necessarily happy about it. More accepting that we are not a top tier team. Hard to demand better results when the team is probably not capable.
