Just to qualify a couple of things you stated (and I will say up front that I am never happy when we finish less that premiers), however:
- our major junior nursery is worthless if we dont have the proper structures in place to bring players through and it was ignored from basically 2010 to 2015/16. If you look at where kids that were under 14/15's were when we shifted some of our clubs focus back to junior development, they are now only reaching the age where they will start popping up in first grade;
- the success of the leagues club and it's ability to fund the NRL side is actually limited to an extent by the NRL's soft cap on Football Club expenditure. Sure there are some small benefits available, but those need to be spend on longer term things like the CoE and not annual costs like operations/staff/etc. This softcap is actually there to make it a more level playing field for all clubs, regardless of how wealthy their owners are;
- Kellyville Park is far from an elite training centre with all the facilities being run out of demountables at present, including the gym the players use on a daily basis. It is an improvement on previous training facilities but dont get confused with what we dont yet have.

- the salary cap is obviously an attempt to level the playing field for player talent, however TPA's and other opportunities still exist that we dont seem to have (such as one-team-towns/golf bets/cheap housing development/etc).
So, while I agree that consistenly making the top 4 or top 6 is not the "success" we would all like, when you consider that there are few teams out there that haven't done this for a while, it is still a reasonable achievement.
And besides, the chances of winning the comp after round 25 if you arent in the top 8 are ZERO.
At least being in the top 8, we are still in with a fight come each September.
