I think I agree, but 5% is a decent chance. It's enough to get excited about. If you ever made any long odds bets you'd understand.

I don't want to sack him. Let him finish the year. He deserves that. If we get to week 3 of finals I'd happily keep him. If we are bundled put prior I'd have 2nd thoughts.

Yeah I agree with all this except your hope against Penrith. Love to be proven wrong but think they’ll beat us in a canter.

I’d also do t want BA gone until season end and I ALSO would be happy for him next year if we get to at least the prelim.

Anything less and I genuinely wish him all the best in his next venture and thank him for his efforts.

thats all well and good. But the players that will probably make grade will end up making a name for themselves at manly or roosters. We just keep getting it so wrong.

Let's look at how we all scored

All of our tries where well constructed overlaps with no luck involved.

Brisbanes 1st - Involved 3 kicks and bounces favourable to Brisbane and a ricochet off Penisini. 3 bits of luck in that try maybe 4.

Brisbanes 2nd was a fair try. Just poor defense in middle.

Brisbanes 3rd try a nice kick by Reynolds.

Brisbanes 4th was a nice backline movement but we where down a man. So there was luck.

Brisbanes 5th try come when we dropped ball from kick off a nice kick by Reynolds and also we where down a man. That 2 bits of luck.

Brisbanes final try comes from Guth just dropping the ball and Reynolds kicking ahead, getting a nice bounce and scoring. Again a fair bit of luck in this one.


We where robbed a fair try to a bad obstruction call.

And butchered 1 or 2 tries when Balke didn't pass or Sivo was out of position.

4/6 Brisbane trys come off kicks.


On another day we score 5 tries. Moses kicks 5/5. If Guth doesn't drop ball cold (1 try) , Pensini doesn't get sin binned amd we don't drop ball from kick off (2 tries) and that arsy 1st try it could of been 30-12.

Yes Brisbane played with more intensity and deserved to win but we played woefull and nothing went our way. The game was closer then the score suggested and had that 0bstruction call not robbed us the lead is 10 points with 20 to go......

I'm not taking the piss in my run down. You have to look at how often Guth would drop a ball carting it up, dropping ball off kick off, And that 1st try. They are all 1-100 chances I reckon. Id never back them to all happen again in one game.

You know I prefer to lose my bets. I look at it as paying off the ref and the bunker or whatever. The exception is the money I had on top four and premiership, plus my bet with hindyeleven. I hope I win those.

Do we get it wrong or do we just lack the funds to recruit all the best 17 year olds? Everyone knows who they are. The whole "Parra didn't want me" is just easier for them to swallow than "I'm a greedy little merkin".

Also I don't think we need huge changes. Opacic in for Bailey and Blake to the wing. Then we have two big powerfull wingers and a centre who is great in defense and can pass.

N.Brown needs to be recalled also and Rein for JA is a no brainer.

That's not a bad bench at all. Mahoney only needs 60mins. And we then have 3 x middles who we can rotate.
That is three changes. Id be dissapointed if atleast 2 don't happen.

I'm pretty happy with my gambling. I'm aware any given bet can lose. But I do sometimes wish I put more on a win. The key is self-discipline.
