Imagine paying Klemmer $800k a season. Whilst we’re at it, imagine paying Luke Brookes $1.2m a season.

Some clubs have to pay overs, like we did for a number of years, the worst part of that though is that these guys seemingly want out despite the overs ( obviously they don't wanna loose their payday ).

So imagine paying those blokes that kind of coin, and it still not being enough to keep them wanting to play for your club.

Deal was on. Knights and Eels happy.

We throw 250k for this season and 300k for next. That's 550k off the Knights books for 2023. They'd find a better player for 550k.

Why everyone is unhappy is Klemmers come back and asked for 2024 at an inflated rate. I assume 450k+
Parras baulked and Knights would be shitty. They almost got 550k cap space cleared.

Huh ? My post was not about us trying to sign Klemmer for the year.

It was about how shit clubs pay massive overs as a punt. It worked for Broncos (Reynolds). But STG, Tigers, Titans, Knights etc are all paying massive overs for players that probably won't solve their problems.
