Guy was poor at spotting talent and recruiting players at a time we had money to spend.Sent us back 3 years that's for sure.
All those guys were also signed by other coaches.

At what point is it unacceptable for Kearney to blame Anderson for his performance?
His performance or the team's performance?

Remember, the Eels under Stuart were a lot worse than any other team he has coached, including the Raiders most recently. So was he a shit coach at the Eels or did he have a shit squad? And if it was a shit squad whose fault was it? Previous coaches had a lot to do with it but even more crucial were all those years a coach was on his way out and unable to recruit effectively - 2012, 2010, 2008, 2006. In each of these years we had to pay overs because we looked unstable and all the value buys were snapped up before the incoming coach got there.

On top of that we had Hayne on the books but not playing every week. And as we found out this year, he isn't the type of bloke to do us any favours.

Michael Gordon opens up on Parramatta Eels exit, outlines Sydney Roosters plans

IN a perfect world, Michael Gordon would still be at Parramatta.

But it’s been a long, long time since anything to do with the Eels could be described as perfect.

That’s why the unassuming fullback known for his loyalty will be running out with Sydney Roosters next season.

“In the end I made the decision to leave,” Gordon, 33, said.

“There was a chance of staying, but there was so much drama happening at the time.

“I know Brad (Arthur) was keen for me to stay, but I had to look after myself. I don’t want to be the one changing clubs all the time and I’m as loyal as anyone, but I just felt like there was a really good opportunity at the Roosters.”

Gordon first made contact with the Roosters through close friend and assistant coach Craig Fitzgibbon.

What started as a few casual conversations with Fitzgibbon about the potential of the tricolours, soon progressed.

“Then, having a chat to Trent (Robinson) and the people involved at the club, it was an easy process and one I’m very glad I made,” he said.

“It’s a massive club and there is a lot of rich tradition here ... I’m just really excited to work under Trent and play alongside all the world-class players.”

When it comes to stars, the Roosters are loaded with talent.

From experienced campaigners such as Mitchell Pearce and Boyd Cordner through to young guns Latrell Mitchell and Connor Watson, the men from Bondi possess one of the NRL’s most formidable teams.

It’s why Gordon refuses to take anything for granted in the positional stakes, even though he has played 203 top-grade games.

“I’ve come here with no guarantees, no nothing,” he said.

“My plan was to come here and work hard and try to earn any jersey I can.

“I’ve always taken that approach and that’s no different this year.

“I just want to work hard to prove that I’m worthy of being here.

“But physically and mentally, I’m ready to go.

“I had a nice break and got away on holidays and did a bit of training.”

Gordon built a close rapport with rising star Bevan French during his one season at Parramatta.

Now the veteran fullback is hoping to continue his role as ‘‘master mentor’’ at the Roosters with 19-year-old prodigy Mitchell.

“He (Latrell) had a fantastic season and if I can pass anything on to him, then I’m more than happy to,” Gordon said.

“But I’ll probably be going to him for a couple of tips I think. The young fellas have got all the skills these days.

“I’m just excited about what lies ahead.”

As for his former team, Parramatta, Gordon expects the Eels to hit back hard after last year’s season dominated by scandal.

“Oh knowing Brad, I reckon if anyone mentions last year they’ll get sent out to do fitness laps,” Gordon said with a grin.

“I’ve spoken to a few of them there and they are training hard already and that doesn’t surprise me. They had such a good season, I can’t see them going backwards now.’’

Stuart isn't a shit coach he is a shit man manager with no self awareness especially when it comes to adversity. He severely hurt his career when he was firstly dumped at the Roosters by blaming the players (especially his halves) and not having a plan after Fittler retired.

Then he blamed the ref for cheating when he famously lost his job as the Australian coach.

Then he blamed everyone especially the coaching staff at Cronulla. He quit before he was pushed.

At Parra it was our board's fault despite them trying to do everything all be it illegally to obtain a decent squad for him.

Even when he struggled at Canberra, not having enough origin players was the excuse.

Basically he is a narcissistic ego maniac who continually talks in the first person. That is a sure sign.

I don't think there is a bigger f**kwit in the game.

NRL bosses Todd Greenberg and John Grant away at Four Nations while clubs wait for answers

NO one would mind NRL bosses Todd Greenberg and John Grant spending three weeks in England at the Four Nations tournament if they hadn’t left such a mess at home.

It must be hard to explain to the 16 NRL clubs there is not enough money to go around when the game’s two most senior officials are in the northern hemisphere watching football.

Grant and Greenberg never turn right when they step on to an aircraft and stay in five-star accommodation. Another NRL employee from government relations is in the UK too, all away until November 23.

Meanwhile, the clubs are in revolt. They have been trying for 12 months to get answers on future funding and the salary cap from 2018 onwards.

NRL bosses John Grant and Todd Greenberg.

They feel far too much money is being wasted on:

■ Two referees when the World Club Challenge has shown one is sufficient;

■That millions have been spent on setting up and staffing the video bunker which might have sped up decision-making but failed to reduce errors;

■Or the size of the NRL administration. The government relations staff. Consultants; and

■ Too much extravagance throughout the administration.

This guy played one pissy season and is talked up as if he was our local 10 year veteran.

The sooner these two leave our game the better. They in my view have been inconsistent and appalling to date.

SHOOSH II

There is so much anger around the 16 NRL clubs about funding issues that there is talk of a no-confidence vote on commission chairman John Grant when he returns home from the Four Nations tournament in England.

SHOOSH III

Which NRL club is still keen on signing Wallaby Israel Folau for 2018 but can’t take discussions any further until the salary cap is finalised?

Told the press there'd be "plenty more floggings" after a good win. Made a massive song and dance with the overhead projector garbage. All to protect his own reputation. f**king wanker.
