Well the Club should have just said we won't play there then. We can play our home games anywhere we like, if we don't like the opponent they want us to play there, then we can easily convert the game back to Sydney. If it happens again, this should be the approach.
We had to play one game there. We were getting good money from the NT government to do so.

It doesn't prove we shouldn't be minor premiers but it does prove we are underachieving with this coach yet again. The only other team who has beaten them is Melbun and this when when they had 3 quarters of their spine out and their best forward.
Surely if you're just looking at two cherry-picked games it's just as likely that we overachieved in those two. Why do the other 19 games matter less?

We need a Tommy clone. Instead of warming up before the game, we need someone to walk around slapping the faces of each guy until they get pissed and want to tear the sheds off the opposition

I would love to see the Eels throw the absolute bank at Cronk. Offer him 2mil deal per year for 3 years, an offer he could not ignore.
I think is one of the sharpest minds in the game. His work ethic and professionalism is almost unrivalled.
Im told the work he did at GWS blew people away with his approach.
I genuinely think he is the best possible option by a big margin.
He is a natural leader and would completely change us as a club for the better.

The Storm would prepare for it and adapt better than we would. We should take the Warriors there.
Just ask for Melbourne or Warriors.

The club should have said when given the draw we are changing our home ground allocation for darwin to the warriors game.

The clubs see the draw before its released to the public.

I think it was after the Broncos game that I posted something I was told by a person in the club...
Our players are feeling the pressure to perform and lack self-confidence/self-belief.

We definitely need a head-shrink or 17 at Kellyville Park and in the sheds.
And this is why so few of them get picked or keep their spots in Origin. We have a squad full of physically and technically talented payers (perhaps as much as any club), but the mentalities are below par. We need more/better leaders. Hopefully Hodgson can stay on the field because he seems like a proper hard head.

100% agree (especially with the second paragraph) but can you tell me that if Munster saw Hughes getting undue pressure trying to get a kick away, he wouldnt toss out an overcall and take a kick himself?

That is all I am saying Drown should have done. I wasnt calling for the players to change the game plan on the fly, I was calling for Drown to recognise his rookie halves partner was under too much pressure and to try and alleviate that. One overcall and the balls goes to Drown instead of JA and suddenly Souths attempts to pressure the kicker ease off as they are no longer 100% sure who is getting it.
And the freedom to make these decisions is already part of every team's gameplan.

Players overcall the game plan all the time, in fact they have a special call for it that allows a half to overcall the plan if they see something is on and the Fake should follow the overcall. They can use it if they see something is off too. A coaches game plan doesnt consist of that much control for every single play in a game that it removes the ability for the players to make any decisions.
Ok you said it already.

It doesn't make sense to me.

Why is it we play our best when either we are written off or heavily criticised through the media after a shocking performance that sparks an attitude adjustment.

Then we seem to be at our worst after such a great win when confidence should be high or playing a lower opponent.

Coach just doesn’t give tactics he needs to be able to motivate the players. I think he just expects the players just to aim up. Fire up BA

I wouldn't take Melbourne there, they'd prepare to well. They're professionals. I'd ask for it to be played in the middle of July and I'd say we'll play the Warriors or Canberra.

Warriors for me.

They aren't a big drawer at commbank and a fair few kiwis ex pats in Darwin anyway so it's not like it wouldn't sell in Darwin Eels v Warriors.

The issue with this mob is that they're a week to week team, who's mentality changes considerably from week to week. I felt we were heading for victory against the Panthers though, the mentality was on. You could tell from the opening kick off against Souths, the mentality was off from the outset.

For mine there appears to be 'unknown triggers', in both directions, that make us play the way we do. Our coaching staff is not going to come up with some sort of amazing tactics to make us perform better over the next few weeks, because they're tactically inept themselves and not capable of solving any tactical deficiencies we might have. I would do away with at least half the time on the training paddock that we've been doing, because it's clearly making no difference, and I'd be engaging some high powered sports psychologist specialists now. I'm sure the guy we have on board is helping, but we need the best....We need an entire team of specialists in this field.

The only thing that can be rectified in this mob between now and the rest of the season is mentality, it's too f**ken late to work on anything else.
maybe the club could take 10grand of each players money for every try scored against them

I would like the club to chase a former player that is a winner! Has a Winning culture mentality so on and so forth..

Fitzgibbon is a winner comes from a great club culture then learnt from the best. He has taken that to Cronulla. He brought in club legends and the club history to get the players to buy into the club.
