It will be interesting to see what Ciraldo does with The Dogs defence. If hes the bloke that masterminded The Pennys D as suggested then look out. I anticipate a huge improvement in the Dogs based on that D.

It will take a few seasons for h to get their defence to work like the Panthers.

We will not make another GF for at least 5 years.

The building blocks are there mate. Two of our issues are gone in Mahoney and Papali'i poor defense. They got exposed in finals big time. Problem is we need better replacements. Whats coming for 2023 aren't.

But in 2024 we will have Waqa,N.Brown and Bryce gone. That's 1.2-1.3 mill.
Factor in we also could of kept Papali'i for 2023 suggests we have another 500k spare so we may have a bit of a war chest ready.

Might come back bulkier too for next season. But you’re right, he won’t be on anywhere near the dollars waqa is on.

Reality is we are the capital of the West. Our own light rail, a great stadium, 30k + memberships,museums and brilliant buildings, restruants. I think here lies our biggest advantage.
So then you look at the boss and how he presents himself. We need to take advantage and take better marketing opportunities. Looking a little more professional wouldn't hurt.
I feel this is more of BAs downfall then over his coach abilities.

I don't think so. We signed him when he looked like he could be a gun. It was a very exciting signing. We took over a 5yr deal with Penrith chipping in. Unlike RCG Waqa had a host of clubs interested so the amount and length they chipped in was less.
I know he was on 500k+ at Penrith. Comes down to what they chipped in and amount and if he took a pay cut. Personaly I'd guess we are paying closer to 450k for him.
I actualy was excited when we got him. Very talented player. Most where. He is just lazy and inconsistent

he made 200 from 17 runs / 7 TB in his last game against the panthers

I wouldn't be expecting much from Haze next year. I think it will be a slow build.

Hopefully he comes back fit and gets on the park.

That horrific injury takes 2 years to recover from physically and mentally.
