he improved massively towards the end of last year….don’t underestimate him, if we recovers well, might solve the wing problem…

he made 200 from 17 runs / 7 TB in his last game against the panthers

I had high hopes for Haze this year but the total destruction oh his knee will slow him too much for a winger. Remember he did mcl acl pcl Sivo was acl

Reality is we are the capital of the West. Our own light rail, a great stadium, 30k + memberships, museums and brilliant buildings, restruants. I think here lies our biggest advantage.
So then you look at the boss and how he presents himself. We need to take advantage and take better marketing opportunities. Looking a little more professional wouldn't hurt.
I feel this is more of BAs downfall then over his coach abilities.

I agree.

But I do think his coaching abilities need work - playing the power game does not work against a side that his fit, agile, and mobile.

Honestly he wasn’t that quick to begin with. He was just an average player with nothing special (that’s not meant to be putting him down). I didn’t see anything special about him. The injury will make him slower you are correct. Russell has more upside as a player and is one for the future.

He was improving before the injury but yes not fast prior to the injury. Will be interesting to see the coaches plans

The club needs to make some big signings for 2024 basically from November 1 Fafita is a huge name off contract that could do well with a change of clubs. Bring Jojo as well.

Martin and Lenui from the Panthers as well would be good pick ups.

Fresh year next year I won’t be surprised if Waqa is behind the pecking order of Russell/Haze etc to start. My worry is hooker/backup if Hodgson doesn’t go the distance.
Lastly anyone who thinks we’ll be looking at a gun fullback is honestly delusional. BA literally thinks of him as a son, he ain’t going anywhere.

Martin & Leniu would be great at their young hooker from the reserves looks great. But I reckon Ciraldo would going hard after the same guys as well.

Dogs have a lot off contract at the end of next season so you are probably right.

The club needs to show we have a plan which would help keep the likes of Drown.

Everyone keeps talking him up. Haven’t seen much of him. What’s good about him or are overrating him because he’s from the Penrith system ?
Not sure about overrating him but if you had a choice of any middle to sign from reggies, he's the one. I've seen him a few times. Dominates in NSW Cup and stands out in that team. Would be in first grade at most other teams I think. Tough, seems to be a leader. Can score a try. Can ball play as well. He's not that tall but is very thick. Good tat display. Queenslander. Reminds me a bit of what Nrown was at his peak. Penrith are sad to lose him but he's behind Yeo.

Big motor, too.

The comparisons with a prime Nathan Brown are pretty close, imo.

He's not a huge body, but he runs hard, and is very mobile - a big plus.
