why dont we have access to 3rd party money?
seems like everyone else does
who said we don't ?
the same rules apply to every NRL club, its probably not something that gets advertised or released to the media

We probably do, we are more successful than a lot of clubs. But there are a couple of clubs who outperform us over the long run. These are the ones likely to have significantly more in TPAs.why dont we have access to 3rd party money?

When players are introduced at the ground on game day, they almost always have a sponsor linked to them. Are they not a declaration of a TPA ?who said we don't ?

I don't think so. They are club sponsors that get assigned to a player for game day. Third party sponsorships can't have anything to do with the club nor show the players in club colours/attire.When players are introduced at the ground on game day, they almost always have a sponsor linked to them. Ours used to be linked to a jersey number, so 1800POOMAN was the game day sponsor for whoever was wearing jersey 2 that day. Definitely not TPAs.I don't think so. I know one club actually drew the players names out of a hat to match up those game day sponsorships one season. Club sponsors, not 3rd party agreements.
Pretty sure a TPA the club can't be involved, like when a player posts a photo on social media about a car dealership they won't be wearing any club merchandise.
I'm pretty sure you are right, but I also think it is naive to think it doesn't happen.
I remember when the Rheed Mahoney transfer was in the news and the Doggies came back with a significantly higher bid, a large part of that was TPA.
From memory the same article stated that our offer to Rheed contained a TPA, ours was something like $25K, the doggies was well over the $100K. But of course, it was completely independent of the club View attachment 68200
Ricky's Mafia will be out to get George again if he comes back.
That might take the heat off clubs chasing Moses or Dylan...?
Could be a good Moses replacement if he leaves
get hodgo on itCould be a good Moses replacement if he leaves
So if we can't match the dogs TPAs for Moses, should we use cap space to meet the dog's offer and pay overs?I'm pretty sure you are right, but I also think it is naive to think it doesn't happen.

Mate, I want Moses and Drown to stay with my team slowly transitioning toWhat is overs thou? You need a genuine half to steer the team around the park and create opportunities. Moses does that. What’s the point of losing Moses and then picking up a second string half? Moses should of been signed up long ago by us. We know what he adds to the team. We’re supposedly still looking to sign other players and yet to commit long term to our halves.
But if this type of TPA is genuine then it doesn't give us an advantage the way it might for clubs with significantly more in TPAs (completely by coincidence of course).
He has a player option for 2024 ffs. He could've signed until 2024 without the option, but he chose this instead. Obviously the club agreed but it takes two to tango. With a player option he's free to test the market. We can't sign a replacement until he signs elsewhere or the player option expires. But he's in no hurry.Moses should of been signed up long ago by us.
Pou, would George Williams + To'o cover for losing Moses? He has a player option for 2024 ffs. He could've signed until 2024 without the option, but he chose this instead.
