As I said when you posted it first a while or so ago this kid would be a good 14 signing. I suspect we've got him cheap on minimum wage for two seasons. To be honest this is a great signing, looks like he'd be a good player in a good team.
Yeah, I think he'll do well in a good team as well. He's only played in horrible cowboys and warriors teams. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do in a good team.

Skill won't really be an issue, I suspect he hasn't got a gig due to his defence. If we can work on that, there is no reason why he can't transition to be our 9 after Hodgson. The ball is in the kids court to be honest. Here is his chance to shine in a decent side.

I suspect Nathan Brown Snr has had some input into this.

Yep was about to post the same about Nathan Brown.

I just watched this match. Asi was signed mid-season by the Warriors and had three days to prepare. He started at 5/8 and at age 21 was very composed. Two try assists, a nice kicking game. Solid in defence. He’s wearing jumper 21.

Jack Murchie played in jumper 17.

Shit game but Asi was probably best on ground for his team anyway.

LOL@ Ricky.

FMD, you really need to get a life if you're watching 1 hour and 50 minute replays of the mid-season Warriors and the Faids, without someone paying you a lot of money to do so.

Asi is a very good signing. Has a good kicking game, good defence and size. 6 foot 1 inches tall and 97kg.
I reckon he'd be a good prospect at centre. Have a backline of:
1. Gutho 2. Sivo 3. Asi 4. Penisini 5. Dunster
Asi, Penisni, and Dunster are all under 23 years of age. I think that's our back five moving forward imo.

This obviously true but was it because he was only good enough for shitty teams? After 18 games he has got more tries than wins. But he's still quite young (2 months younger than Drown) and his attacking highlights are decent.

I'm sure of one thing though, he's a utility.

Slow news day.. Apparently the club didn't know it could resign its players prior to November 1..

I call BS on the below..

“What I am told is, his manager went to the Eels mid-year and offered to do a deal back then, Parramatta were not happy with the money and said ‘let’s let is play out’ and we will wait until the end of the year,” Rothfield said.

“I can tell you now the money has gone up substantially since Parramatta has had that chance to sign Mitchell mid-year.

We’d be in real strife if we’re looking to promote JA anywhere near the starting side. Regardless of the dollars he’s on.

I agree with you - he needs more time to develop.

I'm just saying that it was astute to re-sign Jake, and sign Deajearn, in case we lose one, or both, halves - this way, we have a plan B ready to go.

So two back up halves are good planning if we lose one or both our halves??? Having them both coming off contract at the same time is absolute stupidity. Thank god we signed Jakey though lol.
