Does anyone else think that we are missing another genuine prop on the bench? If we lose RCG or Junior think we could be in trouble. Surely there's someone other than Taupau that we could snag.

1. What's a genuine prop?
2. No. We've got 3 elite middles on a lot of money between them. From the games I've seen of Hopgood in cup and firsts he should be a good player for us. I reckon out of Brown, Ogden, Murchie, Greig, Momoisea we should get 2 players who were as serviceable as Kaufusi and Marata were last year.

Not a huge martin fan considering the money he wants don't think he's worth it at all. He's not an overly skillful backrower just a hard-running backrower that would be easily replaceable imo.
I reckon he's a great club footballer. Does all the 1%'s, doesn't float in and out games (like Lane can for instance), you know what you're getting each week, he's always 100% effort. But he's not a game breaking back rower. So while Lane might have a tendency to float in and out, he is at least capable of coming up with a play that can win his team a game (prelim final a case in point)... Martin, while a key cog in a successful machine, is not worth the money he was reportedly looking for... For their strengths and weaknesses, I reckon Lane and Martin are probably on similar money as it happens. Lane, for all his inconsistent brilliance and Martin with his all-out effort but pretty 'stock' outputs, both have their part to play, just not on elite money...

That’s your opinion but you don’t make the NSW team if you weren’t talented. His strength is his hard running game. He good hole runner. Not every second rower needs to be a 5/8. I’d rather have Martin over tight arse Matterson.
