It should not be a distraction at all. Fact is Moses is here all 2023 and potentially 2024.

It is within the clubs best interest to get Moses to extend for a suitable amount of time and $$$. Rushing that process increases the probability that we do no meet either the time or $$$ that works best for the club.

If Moses wants the big $$$ he should be able to play to the best of his ability whether he is negotiating a new contract or not. If he doesn't; is that the type of player you want at the club for now and in the future (especially your highest paid player)?

Moses has had 6 years at Parra to show who he is and what he can do. There is nothing else to prove, everyone knows his strengths and weaknesses. If Parra dont sign him for 2024, he will go to the Tigers.

As it is, if media is to be believed, Tigers have offered him a career long contract on massive money, Parra reportedly a year less. This is it for Moses and he will not wait to see what Parra do.

I don't actually see the benefit of waiting till to game day to announce it.

If they really want the exposure should have been done here on the weekend with nothing on.

The way it's dragged on it sums up issac moses to a tee he is unpredictable. And the least amount of clients we have of his the better. Not sure if we have anyone else other then Mitchell.

My point is, moses announcing he had re-signed has nothing to do with the nrl ratifying it

If he has signed the document, in his eyes, he had re-signed.

The tine the nrl has to ratify the contract is irrelevant to his announcement

I’m not saying it’s 100% , I’m saying what is LIKELY. If Moses had said I won’t have it sorted before round one then it would be more likely that he wouldn’t have made a decision.
