Is the club waiting to game day to announce Moses signing or it hasn't been done yet.

I don't actually see the benefit of waiting till to game day to announce it.

If they really want the exposure should have been done here on the weekend with nothing on.

The way it's dragged on it sums up issac moses to a tee he is unpredictable. And the least amount of clients we have of his the better. Not sure if we have anyone else other then Mitchell.

We are all thinking it but not saying it. It’s just typical.

The longer the deal is not the done the more leverage we have.

Bulldogs have pulled out, Tigers will eventually pull out. It works within our best interests to drag it out.

Best case scenario is Moses instead takes his option and then we replace him after 2024 season.

Either a suitable replacement. Or even extend him if his form warrants and price is acceptable?

Why do we need to make permanent decision on a 2025 halfback?

I don't understand the rush...

What will be a failure is if we extend Moses for more than 4 years and/or at 1m+. That will make 3 months of negotiations a complete waste of time.

Well the reality is the season starts on Thursday.

I think the club deserves an answer before kick off on Thursday.

It can't drag on any longer as one it's becomes a distraction the club doesn't need.

And also so roster planning can be done for next year and the 2/3 years after that.

The uncertainty screws the club over the longer it drags on as potential targets could be lost and money we could have spent somewhere might could have been used hasn't.

The club stuffed up by making the player option that could be exercised until end of April or May.

It should have been January to give clarity.

Hopefully the club learns from this moving forward.

It should not be a distraction at all. Fact is Moses is here all 2023 and potentially 2024.

It is within the clubs best interest to get Moses to extend for a suitable amount of time and $$$. Rushing that process increases the probability that we do no meet either the time or $$$ that works best for the club.

If Moses wants the big $$$ he should be able to play to the best of his ability whether he is negotiating a new contract or not. If he doesn't; is that the type of player you want at the club for now and in the future (especially your highest paid player)?

What u dont understand is the club believes that we already have a ready made replacement. Ba believes in him, the previous coaches believed in him and all the players bar nrown (speculation) believes in him.

Barrett is said to be impressed with him. So it's not desperation yet.

Yeah we will be worse, but the club will think we will move on

It's only the fans who are worried.

I thought that some time ago Moses said that he was going to announce his decision in the week before the season started? Perhaps I was imagining it.

Even if a deal has been signed, the NRL might take some time to register it (checking any TPAs etc).

The nrl could still take all year so it doesn't matter

Why would the Tigers eventually pull out? Tigers genuinely want Moses. he is the sort of half we need to make us top eight contenders and there isa feel good story waiting to "bring him home" to his mate Brooksy.

Zero cost to Tigers to keep trying for him, and even if Moses stays, Tigers staying in the hunt maximises the hit on Parras cap etc. Why would they pull out?

Zero chance he take up the option. The option is based on current/old $$$ and the potential new deal at Tigers or Parra is between $1.25M to $1.4M and way over. Why would he take up the option and cost himself money?

There is no rush, but if Parra doesnt sign him on a new Contract for 2024, he will be in Black Gold & White in 2024.
