He’s got until May to exercise his option. So it’s pointless being impatient. Also, unless you have another player lined up to sign in his place (you don’t cos there is zero elite 7s on the market) then you just hope for the best, be professional and be the place that he wants to play out his career with. I would not recommend playing tough guy with deadlines etc. Anyone rookies who does that, deserves to miss out.

Not really. Brooks is a solid halfback. Gutherson and Brown also in the halves. You then have 600k up your sleeve.
Would be able to upgrade 3 positions by 200k each.
Imagine the quality of your bench compared th what we have currently for example.

A real hammer blow for us right now in a year we have a great squad is N.Brown and his contract. We have a guy on around 550k who may not even make our best 17.

Imagine having that to spend elsewhere on the squad. I dont blame coaching staff as his form was origin like even tho I noticed decline so did they and why only gave a 2yr extension.
They could see it too. And where probably nervous.

Best we can hope for now is he regains some form. He just turned 30 and if has a good season may earn a 2yr deal at a weaker club. I still feel there is something personal going in between him and the coach.

Brooks isn't an ALDI halfback. Sexton isn't either.They are solid halves that I think belong in the NRL. Especially Brooks.
Plus we have some young talented kids who in 2026 might be ready.

I think a lot of people are also getting sucked into the MOSES hype. It's a team game. We had a excellent side last year. He was part of that. You don't think its a coincidence nearly all our players had their best seasons or close to last year?

I think it shows you what BA thinks of Doorey,Moimesea,Bryce.
Keeping in mind we also have Matalele by rnd 11 who is one hell of a talent. That's 4 guys to fill one spot.
