We also have a ball playing fullback. The biggest thing we need from a halfback to be a competitive side is kicking game and ability to execute a game plan.

If wee succeed in chasing and landing Sironen to our forward stocks for this season, that might allow us to grant the release for Borwn to take up the deal he'd been reportedly seeking elsewhere.

Or maybe his demotion/form slump (which seemed triggered by something...) is over, given he made it back to selection in our more recent outing (grand final) - and we're looking at SIronen for 2024 after both contracts end?

We could be looking at Sironen for this year. Being an Aussie in the UK there’s a realistic chance he has a release clause.

A real hammer blow for us right now in a year we have a great squad is N.Brown and his contract. We have a guy on around 550k who may not even make our best 17.

Imagine having that to spend elsewhere on the squad. I dont blame coaching staff as his form was origin like even tho I noticed decline so did they and why only gave a 2yr extension.
They could see it too. And where probably nervous.

Best we can hope for now is he regains some form. He just turned 30 and if has a good season may earn a 2yr deal at a weaker club. I still feel there is something personal going in between him and the coach.

We could have easily wrapped up Nikure and Papalli with Brown's dollars. It was gross mismanagement signing brown to a long contract. We knew he looked busted every time he played the ball

I disagree. Any halfback with 100+ games can do it. It's the running, playmaking and defence that separates the good ones from the rest.

if you don’t think Ivan’s salary isn’t redirecting money to Nathan you’re a goose. He’s on far more than $1.2m.

you don’t actually know what component of Moses salary may be attributed to third party

moses is our best half in 30 years and there is no one within a mile of his value and skill within our squad, system or available on the market

without Moses we don’t make the GF. He sacrificed being present the birth of his child to take us to a grand final

he’s in the top 3 halves in the comp, he’s a quality goalkicker and he’s the best option

anymore willing to let Moses go over $200k on a $13m cap is stupid
