Bryce was very strong - I hope he's played himself into the 17. I like the guy.

I was impressed by how tough he played - ran hard, and tackled hard.
You don't have to be too good to make our 17 this year. It falls away pretty quickly from that starting 13 tonight with only Lane, Matterson, Brown to come in.

Bryce is in his 10th year of first grade with 142 games played.
If he can run hard and straight, make his tackles and reduce his brain explosions, then he has the skills to make a difference at the end back-end of a close game.

Considering how bad our halves where we went ok. They can't play that bad ever again.
Doorey, Bryce,Hopgood,Grieg all impressed me.
What I can say is we desperately need much much better middles for when our starters go off because we lose so much momentum. Yes above impressed me except Greig and Brown was extremely poor. Most of the interchange players were poor imo and gave away stupid penalties and provided little impact.

And continually lay on players or are all over the ball, even when refs calls 'release', and never get penalised. What the f**kin hell!
I'm glad you said that. It reminded me of a game vs STG last year when they just laid all over us and slowed the game down to a walk. The ref let them get away with it, save the odd 6 again.

It mind f**ked us and we couldn't cope.

They Used Merchi as a middle last night and he was not good at all..

I have no issue with Cartwright, I thought he should've been in the 17 last year.

It’s easy to dominate against Newcastle and the Tigers. When was the last time he did it against the top 4 teams and consistently?

Serious question.

And Brown is a notorious slow starter. Whatever he is doing socially in the off season has to change.

The proof will come out next week against the sharks. Id be putting the house on them. Our halves were b grade and attack clunky
The Sharks do have strong defence as well. Most halves look clunky against such teams.

When we beat the Cowboys in Townsville their halves looked clunky after killing it all year. Massive coincidence that we defended out of our skin that night.

There was a story that he got an infection in his arm from a holiday, this has probably contributed to his slow start. I'm not sure he has trained much.
