I actually saw one of the earlier post where they feared that we would be 0 from 4 and I just mentioned what happened the last time that happened im not saying that's what will happen but but I saw an earlier post who feared that we would be 0 and 4

Look, it's certainly possible.

I, for one, thought we could take plenty out of last night - we weren't anywhere near our best, and pushed the Storm the whole game.

Both sides were missing players, but Melbourne still had NAS, Hughes, Munster, and Grant - arguably better players than our respective counterparts.

100% mate

would have been nice to as it was there to be won, but there was far more positive to take out of that being a round one game than negative

You don’t think they panicked late in the game, they had ample time to ice it, but didn’t because of very dumb decision making, I think that is a concern, because we have played like that, many a time

During the pre season I would of been mortified if Moses left but after he turned it into a circus and performance in round 1. I couldn't care less if he leaves, would definitely free up a lot of cap space. Could probably buy Suaalii and move gutho into 6 or utility back, push Brown into 7 whilst Blaze develops. We would probably have enough money left over to buy a decent edge back rower or centre

If I was running the club, on Monday morning at 8am I would withdraw all offers to Moses and tell him if he wants to win comps, then come back and talk to the club and we will renegotiate.

But I'd inform him that he is unlikely to win comps if he wants $1.25m a year, and he's unlikely to play finals if he gets $1.4m at the Tigpies.

If it is money, go to the Tigpies.

First he wanted it done by Xmas and then before the start of the season because he didn’t want to distract the team and their focus to go one better in 2023.

Watch now what happens if we are 0/2 to start the season. It will intensify and his manager and him will look like greedy arseholes.

What’s obviously happened is that we haven’t waived despite what the media are reporting and all the grubby tactics that his manager is famous for.

They can both get f**ked as far as I’m concerned.

I cant resist the urge to point out to you fine Parra fans that this is exactly what he did to the Tigers in 2017 until Ivan Cleary was made coach and withdraw the Tigers offer to Moses in exactly this situation. At the time this Parra forum was full of posts explaining that he was shafted by the Tigers and Moses just wanted to "feel wanted" at a club like Parra. The irony is delicious to be completely honest.

The truth in 2017 was that he had already said yes to Parra and Cleary had a mate working for Parra, so when Cleary came to the Tigers he knew the background and pulled the offer. Who knows what the truth is this time, but I know that there have been times in the recent past when the Tigers were made pretty confident that they had him. The latest solid info I had was that he will be staying at Parra, but I genuinely dont know why he would be dragging it past this week.

A lot of blame can genuinely be put at Isaac Moses feet, but Isaac has a number of clients and there is only one that I can think of that creates this chaos. He has form.

If Parra "havent waived" and haven't been increasing their offer against what the Tigers are offering, why hasnt he signed?

But apparently you're mob are prepared to still make him the highest paid player in the game.

I'm just saying Parra should let them if that's what Moses wants.

He's not worth $1.25m under the cap... not sure we've offered that much, but he's still not worth $1.25m under the cap.

I said we should max out at $1.15m a while back, we've gone beyond that. I don't agree.

What’s the alternative considering what’s on the market? We could lose Moses and waste the prime years of our forward pack and do nothing.

I think Moses will stay, but I have huge concerns at the moment that we have most of our money then signed up for at least 2 seasons without any ability to move and sign anyone now.

We're reliant on this group again doing the job. If we don't make the Top 8, we have very little ability to change without changing the way we go about things (I.e. punting the coach).

I'm not confident we'll make the 8...I've not been confident all off season.

We should comfortably make the 8 with this squad.

Theoretically yes, but one f**ker on probably $700k plus decided that $4k in his pocket was more important than his need to actually turn up to work, early season injuries hasn't helped us and being 0 from 5 is now not out of the question.

I personally have always thought that we are just as likely to make the Top 4 this year as we are to miss the Top 8. I can see us missing the Top 8 easily.

Would be a huge failure with the forwards and halves we have in our side especially considering how the talent pool has been spread out even more with the Dolphins coming in.
