Yep, that’s all he has to do. Run hard, tackle hard and offload sparingly. If he can do that he will be a great addition to the bench.

It’s not just his ball skills that make him special. He has great footwork for his size. That means lots of isolated defenders and quick play-the-balls. Unfortunately he is always tempted to make the pass when he wrong foots a defender. Did well to hold the ball last night though, as you say.

His footwork also means good lateral movement in defence. He just needs to consistently want to get his body in front. He did well last night at least.

Ideally we don’t fill it because we have to, we fill it because we’ve found someone who can contribute at a good price. Sironen would be a great signing for a max of two years.
