Only a vey small percentage of indigenous kids make it in the forwards (except those with a Polynesian mix).

I like the sound of him and the fact that he has been captain of all his teams sounds like he is a leader like his namesake.
That's an odd statement. Looking purely at last year's Origin series, as I couldn't be assed going through every team's squad, the following forwards are indigenous:
Sam Thaiday
Greg Bird
Wade Graham

Ryan James was also unlucky to miss out.

It was.more a broad statement that historically 90% of our indegnous brothers that build a successful NRL career are backs.

Yes there are some indegnous folk who have made it as forwards. Mr Beetson was possibly the best forward of all time. In fact I think he was.

Parramatta Eels star Kenny Edwards charged with domestic violence

Kenny Edwards has become the latest Parramatta player to be charged with domestic violence in a move that could bring a premature end to his controversial career.

Just weeks after Eels superstar Semi Radradra was forced to surrender his passport after missing a court date regarding his own court case, Edwards has been charged with common assault and intimidation over an incident with partner Madison Campbell over the weekend.show in court to face domestic violence allegations.

It's alleged that Edwards poured alcohol over Campbell during an argument.

"About 4.40pm (Sunday 11 December 2016), police attended an address in Parramatta and arrested a 27-year-old man in relation to a domestic violence allegation police received from a 26-year-old woman," a police spokesman said.

"The incident allegedly occurred about 7am the same day at an address in Parramatta.

"It is alleged the man poured water and alcohol over the woman during an argument.

"The man was taken to Parramatta Police Station and charged with common assault (DV) and intimidation."

The matter is listed for mention in Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday. Edwards has been granted bail on the condition he does not assault, threaten, harass, intimidate or destroy on property belonging to Campbell.

Edwards has already served a lengthy suspension after becoming embroiled in a drugs drama. The Eels forward was busted taking a drugs test on behalf of teammate Kaysa Pritchard
Pritchard was later made to take the test himself and there were no abnormalities, but it was considered a fail due to the attempted switch.

The incident occurred on February 24, 2015, and resulted in Edwards missing all of last season. The 27-year-old made a strong comeback in 2016, playing in 24 matches and in August earning a three-year contract extension until the end of 2019.

That deal is now in jeopardy with Edwards facing the sack from a third NRL club.

In isolation, and if indeed it was as petty as pouring the contents of a drink over someone, then he'd be sweet. But he has brought unwanted attention to the club several times previously and might find himself rissoled...

Obviously not the sharpest knife in the drawer our Kenny. And this broad he's hanging out with must be a little on the special side too...

On a purely selfish front, I am spewing. That's a huge loss if he gets rubbed out for the season. As I said, purely selfish, as I hate any form of domestic violence.
f**k, imagine if we lose him AND Semi for the year due to DV!!! We are the only club with a policy on DV yet we have these two and Avava! Not a good look if you ask me.
Also, if I am not mistaken he was on his last chance with Parra since the drug testing thing wasn't he?

Ffs Kenny!

At least it appears he emptied the drink out of it's container, unlike some other footy players (allegedly). But still...

Article memtioning the sack seems over the top, unless Kenny's on his last warning.

Who was the merkin arguing with me saying Kenny should be put into hooker to give DeGois a spell next year?
I guess that argument is settled.
