These are purely off the top of my head. That's quite a significant number considering the Indigenous population makes up only 2.4% of the total population. Your argument is flawed and you've resorted to petty name calling to try and distract from the fact you're talking out of your ass.

I didn't bring genetics into the argument, Baz. Ram was trying to make a point that Aboriginal people generally don't make it as forwards because they were generally "slight" and "wiry". My point stands that the majority of the indigenous populations these days (genetics aside) are not "slight". This is not having a go at indigenous Australians as the same goes for much of the wider Australian population.

So arguing that the majority are fat is somehow better? And why would you think obesity figures apply to people who are working towards being professional athletes? Given that the argument was the body type of the average indigenous athlete, what does the obesity of the wider population have to do with that? Surely they are far less likely to factor in the obesity statistics, therefore nullifying the point?

Lets just accept is was a poorly thought out piece of evidence.

How can you say "genetics aside"? The discussion is about what genes lead to what body shape.

100% correct. We are all the same species, but there are differences that make races unique. That shit should be celebrated, not thought of as offensive. How can genetics be offensive? It's just the way someone is....

Honestly white people in general are the ultimate genetic mongrels and I think that sometimes people get offended at the idea that someone is genetically predisposed to be better at something than they are. The problem with your assertion that that most Australian Aboriginal people are slight or wiry is that it is false.

Many Australian Aboriginal people are thick set and yet still incredibly quick and agile.
Making broad sweeping generalisations that stereotype people on the basis of race is racism. It's not as blatantly nasty as calling people names but it continues to perpetuate the myth that one group of people are of less value because of their race, especially a group that has been beaten down by a dominant culture for centuries.

What if it's positive generalisations like Fijians are friendly, aborigines are athletic, or Chinamen are smart?

No. But there is a difference between being a racist and saying racist things. That distinction is often missed. Try telling an Aboriginal person that saying that they are only half Aboriginal is 'just banter' and see how that goes down.

If they're half white but only consider themselves indigenous it says a bit about the true 'value' and power of being white.
