Yep, working for me and I neglected it for too long. I am naturally stronger but tried a whole bunch of hiit, running etc but left out the weight.Strength based training over body building is supposed to be where it's at.
Lift heavy; high intensity, low reps and build strength rather than lighter weights with higher reps that build puffy muscle that isn't as strong.
I've started again, lost 5kg in the last 10 weeks, aiming half a kilo per week and eat the same thing every day, don't change it except a cheat meal once a week.
I carry fat well but this works. 12 weeks ago I was training for a marathon @104kg running 60+km's per week, I lost zero kg's. Now strength 3 times per week, sprint sessions and 1 longer run and it's working. Consistency is the key, I made all kinds of excuses.
