Just looked up Daniel Saifiti's current salary and they reckon he is on $700K a season. So if we are seriously thinking of taking over Ofahengaue's contract of $650K at full freight, we have rocks in our head when we could hypothetically get Saifiti for almost as much and maybe even the same or slightly less if the Knights came to the party.

Lets see how it plays out, I dont think the Knights are seriously willing to let him go.

He also wont come to us to come from the bench with Reg and Barlo infront of him.

If this is what he is currently on and we are paying full freight, he isn't worth it. I mean the Roosters just paid $525K for Spencer Leniu who is twice the player Ofahengaue is. A player like Ofahengaue should never be on our books for more then $400K.

A couple of years ago yes, however the clubs recruitment/retention has been good the last 12-18 months. The fact that another club is wanting to sign him shows that it can’t be that bad.
