well there’s a ba interview that says brown trained at centre to accommodate ja. The plan was always to try and inject ja. Regardless is our halves had any niggles.
Brown trained at centre to accommodate the fact that JA was on the bench as coverage for the halves but if we lost an outside back, we would need someone to cover that (and that was never going to be JA).
Evidenced in Round 1 when Campbell took out Russell with the knees and Brown went to centre, Waqa to Russells wing and JA played 46 mins.

By training with Drown in the centres, it meant we could cover any 1-7 injury with the only backup half in the club on the bench.

If Simmonson is a better centre than winger (which I think he clearly is), is he a better winger than Russell at this stage?

If yes, Tracey if we get him, pushes Superman to the wing and plays centre.

It was gr8 foresight. If Dyl stayed at centre, we probably wouldn't have resigned him

I reckon simonssen is better at centre. Have to see how treacy goes at wing. We still have waqa to come back... Very exciting

he signed a 1 year extension last year. If he was the best nsw cup half at 19, the club would have signed him long term and rissoled Moses or brown.
Moses and Brown were both playing first grade at 19 ffs. More to the point, they never played reserve grade again. If being a top reserve grader at 19 makes you special then we already have two special halves who are even better, and more experienced than, than Jake Arthur.
For the club to release him they realise he isn’t the best half in the lower grades.
If you don’t let your promising juniors pursue opportunities elsewhere, their managers will prevent elite youngsters from signing with your club in future.

Which is the point I was making... and why the coach said at the end of last season that Arthur would be playing full minutes in NSW Cup this season, learning how to lead a team around. That's an admission (from his dad no less) of what the player's development needed most, compared to what the kid was given last season.
Well just like how Cronk played half a season coming off the bench in first grade, Jake Arthur received the same benefit. There’s no admission for Arthur to make. Maybe more than half a season is too much, but certainly half a season didn’t hurt Cronk, so your assertion that it was bad for Jake Arthur’s development is baseless, much like all the other facts you’ve made up.
