BA was asked about Hodgo in his pre-game presser and plans for him next year.

what was interesting was he said “Hodgo had an option in HIS favour for next year and chose to activate it”

also said he doesn’t know what the plans are for Hodgo next year.

If the "neck injury" is worse than expected and results in a medical retirement, he would be paid out the remainder of his contract without it impacting our cap. It's possible the accepted extension was just to increase that payout as without it being activated he'd only be paid out this year. So it gets extended now while he is in rehab trying to return, only for in a few weeks it be realised he cant return and medically retire.

Yeah ten minutes of overweight Wiremu Greig would’ve made a massive difference!

Oh yeah if only emu, Oggy, hands and co had a certain luxury of some other player.

Emu and Oggy this season have shown if given enough time and chance, they can hold their own. Just a shame they the coach opted for better players on the bench last season. .

They were lazy, unfit and uninterested last season. But BA sorted them out and got them Parrafit now it’s very exciting!!

I think he didn't answer it to be fair and started talking about his neck injury. BA doesn't give the media anything and why should he. They will only stab him in the back.
