Hands probably takes Rein’s salary (if even) but also possibly will require a bump in near future seasons.
Hodgson is presumedly optioned for less salary, at worst the same.
Have to assume Ofahenague/Nrown swaps work out close to even, but could possibly chew up a bit more than what we released.
So really the Greig/Cartwright upgrades will probably depend largely on how much Waqa’s release has already been eaten up.
I’d hazard Cartwright will need a decent bump to keep but on squad balance we may need to meet.
Greig may not need as significant a bump but then he could also get an Utoikamanu approach and we won’t be able to meet dollars for a starting prop.
The yet to be completed Ogden option is probably factoring this in.

Hodgson had his player option and our club would be dunces if they didn’t have that $ in its plan for balancing the cost of the squad. No chance this costs us cartright or emu. They may well sign elsewhere ( i hope they don’t) but Hodgson taking up his player option won’t make any difference
