There's a reason we don't discuss salaries with strangers, and it's because it enrages merkins. Journalists also know this, which is why they 'provide' us with numbers. Which isn't to say that these figures aren't sometimes/often plausible. For what it's worth I'm happy with the estimate of $800k (last year) and $400k (this year) for Hodgson. It's realistic. But next year he is on his player option. That would certainly be less than whatever the club option would be, and there is no chance the club option would be higher than his 2023 salary given his age.
