He's been playing quite well in reggies as a gap filler. Have you seen him.play ?
I'm sorry he's utter walrus shit and a waste of a top 30 spot, he'll be a reason while someone like Moretti is stuck with a development contract. Good news on Murhie going hopefully we can get rid of some more dross before next season starts. Playing well as a gap filler lol, Pou will be proud of that spin job.

Murchie for mine was mishandled, and another example of just buying a player to like-for-like replace someone you've just lost, without really taking into account the skills that Murchie had.

For mine, he seems a one dimensional hole running edge forward. I'd say he is comparable to a Briton Nikura type (nowhere near as good obviously). But, we wanted him to be a middle forward battering ram. That's good...but buy some other f**ker instead! The stupid thing is, we went out and bought Andrew Davey, a one dimensional hole running edge forward, to play the role of, a one dimensional hole running edge forward, in the middle of the season. Surely we already had someone who could play that role in Murchie.

The purchase of Josh Hodgson was the same, it was clear from the outset we wanted him to be a 50 tackle 80 minute dummy half who just passed from dummy half and not move. Well, if you want someone to do that, you don't go out and impulse buy Josh f**ken Hodgson! I suspect we're now virtually committed to Lussick as the 9 for two seasons, and we've instructed him the job is his, but he needs to improve his defence. I think we'd be smart by playing Hands as a 14 to be honest.

In fact, a bench of Hands, Junior (Greig to start), Matterson, and JOffa should be pretty handy next year.

Great post. Although I think lussick is actually a good defender but was gassed. Must've been difficult playing 20 mins in ESL to almost playing 80 in the NRL. Absolutely he should've been interchanging with Hands.
Lussick wouldn't have cost much which is a massive bonus.
I think a preseason with us and smart rotatiion with Hands will give us a good hooker combo.

I see Murchie is playing edge today in the 2s. I think The Cool Team are covering both games which is great. Apart from the Gals it may be our last glimpse of Eels Footy 2023 style.
Lets go boys.
