Rumours and Stuff

I wouldn't be surprised if Arthur is thinking:

8. RCG
9. Lussick
10. Matterson
11. Lane
12. Tuilagi
13. Hopgood

14. Paulo
15. Greig
16. Offahengaue
17. Cartwright
18. Hands

Bashing it up the centre with 6 middles, and so only room for 1 other benchie - noting that Matterson is also good for a switch to edge as part of his 60mins. I don't think BA really rates Hands - despite him comprehensively outplaying old man Hodgson this season.

Is there a reason everyone has Lane as starting 11.

I know he has his injury share this season, but when he was on the field he was unfit, unenthusiastic and totally underwhelming, which pretty much summed up his whole career bar 2022 at Parra.

for mine he’s fighting for a bench spot in 2024

11. Carty
12. Matto/Tuilagi
13. Hopgood

Laney had different 3 injuries throughout the season lack of match fitness, conditioning and self confidence from a Broken Jaw were a factor in his below par season.

This time last year he was talked about as a potential kangaroo for the World Cup.

He deserves less slack especially when you have the likes of Matto who simply wasn't up to his standard this year.

Yeah it does. He is the Michael Clarke of Rugby League can't get on with anyone he played/worked with or coached by.

He still won a bloody premiership though and was only 21 years old when he did it.

While poor old Hindy missed out.
Yep he is a little turd, which no polish in the world can make him shine!!!

Lane plays well one season out of every 3-4. He had his good year last year.

To be honest Ive been pretty low, its been a tough decade to be a Tigers fan but todays news has really perked me up and given me something to look forward to next season.
Yes the weight of all those recent spoons must wear you down. Pity the Tigpies are giving you nothing to look forward to.

Lane was brilliant at his last year at Manly then helped us get into a play offs the year after, then formed a lethal combo with Drown the 3 seasons after that.

we all know why he wasn't affective this year...

he'll be right to be a starter again next season after an off season unless BA decides to use him in the middle exclusively.

We will turn him into a middle. Everyone is a middle lol

BA loves a versatile player ... if he can play edge and middle and maybe slide to centre when an injury occurs he will be a BA favourite

I doubt Tuilagi comes here as a starter.

Lane and Cartwright will be the starting edge forwards.
Perhaps Tuilagi makes the bench? He is probably better than Doorey and Jirah... but perhaps we use Matto off the bench on the edge as an option, or look at the younger guys and see if one of them plays the role.

My guess is Tuilagi is deep in the squad in case of injury/ suspension

He had one great year with us, 2022. The previous years he’s been inconsistent and bordering on lazy. His effort errors in defence particularly, (besides2022) have been a huge issue.

And yes 1 good year at Manly, zero good years at warriors and 1 good year at the Dogs. That works out every 3-4 years.
