See my post above in response to Ram.
Stuff like that happens more than you seem to think. Much more than Pou insulting others, despite what you may believe.

I used to defend Pou but I then got the shits with the stuff he comes out with now I just let it go as its the same each post.

People need to stop attacking him and also blindly defending him..

No you don’t.

If you want to make the most informed opinions on everything, yeah you do.

That would be nice and ideal, but in the real world people make decisions on the information that is available and to suggest after 37+ years of nightmarish failures with a few sprinklings of ok to good years hasn't given us all enough information and insight is disingenuous and insultingly stupid quite frankly.

We all know what failure and mismanagement looks, feels and smells like, because we have all seen it for decades and for you to suggest in your measured and phoney tone that we don't know enough to make a proper assessment is bordering on Pou proportion bollocks of the highest order.

Stick your insincere reasonable approach clown dribble up you clacker. I ain't buying it.

Can’t see us making the 8 next year. Not with what we have.
Hate to say it but gee Manly at $31 seems a good price on the proviso Turbo stays fit.

Luke Brooks will take his game to the next level with a fresh start and playing alongside DCE.

Koula will be another season as well will probably get better.

They have a decent forward pack.

They have also given us there deadwood in Harper & Tauligi so they have instantly improved there roster.

I'm not sure that's what he said. I think what he actually said was they help prevent sweat going into the eyes or something like that.

And when you are an athlete you don't want or need excessive salty sweat getting into your eyes now do you?
So you're saying that Tim Mannah would not have gotten more cuts above his eyes of he had his eye brows shaved ?

OK I will give you that one. Not my zone TBH.

Of course we can only make opinions based on the information available to us. Everyone here does this, including me.

But I’m not going to say that the club is making all the wrong decisions based on the information I know. They have more information than I do, including how much salary cap they have to spend, which players are available, what we can use in terms of TPAs, etc.

I don’t think Morgan Harper is a good player and I hope we don’t sign him. Having said that, I don’t know why they have chosen to go down that route, so I can’t say they have no idea what they are doing. All I can do is hope it works out for the best.

If you think that insincere, well good for you. I’m ok with that.

It’s the same each post because it’s the same arguments each post. It does get a bit boring after a while, but this site is about allowing conversation and differing opinions, so that’s fine. Sometimes I get involved but other times I can’t be bothered.

I only defend those who I think need defending. Gronk, hineyrulz, hindy111, Phantom even Ram give out as much as they get, so fair play. Pou cops more than his fair share and I don’t think it’s right.

Yep alot of posts and posters i just leave and ignore now as they spew the same each time..

There are a few people on here that seem to blindly defend the club though. Same as people that like to attack the club at any chance..

We should’ve figured out by now that scapegoats aren’t to blame. There is an entrenched structural problem that I like to call resourcing. Some clubs are just streets ahead of the rest, and we aren’t one of them. Nobody needs to take the blame for that.
Are you saying we’ve lacked the resources to be able to win a competition? Thats simply not true. Since the time we last won a competition clubs like the Tigers, Dragons, Bulldogs, Sea Eagles, Cowboys, Rabbitohs, Raiders, Sharks and Knights have all won competitions. We have the longest premiership drought by far and we aren’t the club with the least amount of resources out of that cohort. To suggest you have to be a Panthers, Broncos, Roosters or Storm to win a competition is nonsense.

Are you serious? Our club as a whole with our resources, juniors, fan support, memberships, geography, corporate potential, infrastructure etc compared to our underperforming first grade team?

You think Manchester United are now a mid tier club and team?

How is it the same?

Do Manchester United constantly finish mid-table?
We do. That to me suggests we are a mid-tier club.
We could certainly become a top-tier club, just like the Panthers did. Might take a bit of time though, just as it did for them.

What makes us a Mid-Tier club?

What you’re doing is taking the conclusion and then walking back to find data that supports it. That’s not how you reach the truth.

Of course you don’t have to be one of those teams to win. We have had chances, last year we were in the GF. We were unlucky to come up against one of the best sides to have ever played the game (just as we did in our last chance in 2009).

Those teams you mentioned just get more opportunities to win, because of their vast resources. If they are unlucky not to win it one year (like the Panthers in 2020) they are good enough to get back there again not long after.

Sharks, Cowboys, Wests, Dragons all had a chance and took it. They couldn’t do it again though. Why? Because like us they are mid-table teams (Wests not so much mid any more). We could have been like them and won one GF and returned to the middle again, but we either shat the bed (2001) or got unlucky (2009, 2022).

Are the Broncos a mid table team because they finished last in 2020, 14th in 2021 and last in 2022? Do you think a club like them winning 1 premiership in the last 17 years is indicative of where you would expect them to be with their resources?
