Well we constantly finish middle of the table. That to me suggests a mid-tier club. Finishing in the top 4 or making a gf once in a while does not make us a top-tier club. Until we finish in the top 4 on a regular basis, then we will continue to be a mid-tier team.

No that's Middle Table club not Mid Tier club.

Again, you’re looking at the conclusion then cherry picking data to support it. You should be looking at the factors that influence where you’d expect a club to finish and see whether it’s reasonable (like my Broncos example).

It’s the same each post because it’s the same arguments each post. It does get a bit boring after a while, but this site is about allowing conversation and differing opinions, so that’s fine. Sometimes I get involved but other times I can’t be bothered.

I only defend those who I think need defending. Gronk, hineyrulz, hindy111, Phantom even Ram give out as much as they get, so fair play. Pou cops more than his fair share and I don’t think it’s right.

I never gave Pou any shit. I never call him a f**kwit or a troll. I just mentioned comments he made previously which contradict with what he is currently saying. Maybe I out smarted him and he didn't appreciate that. Anyhows if he doesn't want to associate with half the people on here the f**k him. I'm done talking about the situation.

100% the players are putting themselves and the club at risk. No one knows what's going to happen in those 4 rounds of boxing.

They are not going to go there and dance around.

It's great they are keeping fit but I don't care about this bout I care about season 2024.

Paulo is also playing in these test matches so when does he get a break when everyone else is back at training now?

he's more likely to be injured in the representative games than he is by a boxing glove

What you’re doing is taking the conclusion and then walking back to find data that supports it. That’s not how you reach the truth.

Well that’s the information we’ve got. Our finishing position is what we can see, not all the other stuff.

Our geographic position has meant nothing for a long time. Could we take advantage of it better? Maybe. I’m hoping the club is doing something about it. I don’t know though.

I haven’t seen any evidence to suggest that memberships mean much in terms of being a successful club. I’m sure it does t hurt, but how does it help? The Roosters do fine with not many members.

I’m sure all it takes is putting more money into the club/team. Either on the books or off the books. Previously the club was not prepared to do the latter, and tries to minimise the former. We’ve seen that more money is now going into the juniors, so that’s a start.

Probably but he is paid by the club to play league..Not get punched in the head with CTE being a huge thing these days.

I followed both Barlow and REG on Instagram while they have been training and it's great the effort they have put in and let's face it they will hopefully come back fitter.

I’d almost guarantee it that when they were negotiating with the club last contract they put it in a boxing clause.

Not really even Pou has posted our spending has gone up in the last few seasons in the football department. Which itself should show we are a too Tier side.

Our Juniors have gone up in participation we have better structure coming through.
We have been finishing high in our Flegg Ball and Matt's sides. Elite pathways has been getting better and is almost on par with the Riff now.

Membership is up Gronk posted how we are the highest rating team in Sydney. All these

All these factors and the demographic of Parramatta tells you we are a too Tier side that has been playing in the mid table.

There is alot of information available showing we are and should be a top Tier Side.

Are the Broncos a mid table team because they finished last in 2020, 14th in 2021 and last in 2022? Do you think a club like them winning 1 premiership in the last 17 years is indicative of where you would expect them to be with their resources?

No, but if you look at how their club has performed over the last couple of decades you can see that the last half a decade has been an anomaly.

As for them not winning in 17 years, they did have chances in 2015 and 2023. They even had the lead late in each game. Some bad luck and poor decisions on the field and unfortunately for them they ended up losing.

If that's the case we are dumb for giving Barlow souch money per season.

Should have said here is 800k go do a boxing fight at the end of the season and oh we are taking the captaincy of you.

Absolutely not, and it was a sign of enormous failure for them. We know this because they significantly underperformed their long term results. Us missing the finals once in five years is overperforming our long term results.

Once again, this is awesome but it will take time for it to make us a top-tier side. Another couple of years maybe.

To be honest, if we really want to be a top-tier team then we need to do what they do…cheat.
I am 100% convinced that those clubs find ways to pay their players (and probably other staff) outside the salary cap. I also believe that we don’t do it, probably because we are gun shy after being busted last time.

Until we spend the money to get the best people into the club - coaches, recruitment officers, administrators, etc, and also cheat the system, then it’s going to be very hard to get to the top.

Do Manchester United constantly finish mid-table?
We do. That to me suggests we are a mid-tier club.
We could certainly become a top-tier club, just like the Panthers did. Might take a bit of time though, just as it did for them.
Yes now they do. Not mid table but usually don’t make the champions league which is the min over there. But they are far from a mid tier club.
