I am not giving up on him.

I just preferred he put the club first this off-season and gave himself a break.

Does he really need to play for Samoa.

He will have played 60+ games since start of the last year by the end of Pacific Championships. That's includes Origins, Tests, Finals and Grand finals.

That's a shit load of games for a front rower who does the tough stuff for 45-55 mins every game.

I think that part of reason Paulo's form dropped this year the petrol tank is low needs a spell.
He stopped doing the tough stuff KG. Thats how he lasted.

He was beast mode in the panfers game but not many others...that chest padding must be a big hindrance...I'm calling it early but I reckon our pack next yr will be on par with any pack in the comp. With everyone fit look out. It's the outside backs that worry me...but a dominant pack makes it easier for the backs..

Cricket rule change suggestion: since the batsman now do reverse sweeps etc - I think there needs to be a rule change to allow fielders to change positions during the bowlers run up. Maybe up to 2 fielders (one on each side of the pitch) should be allowed to change where they are fielding. That would be a cool change.
That dog shit Root was doing during the Ashes was the final straw for me. During the run up the fine leg could sprint across to a deep slip position.

a lot of good it did them

Well we got to a GF with Waqa Blake, Bailey Simmonson and Tom Opacic who were the outside backs.

Tom Opacic was nothing special but did his job.

I often thought he was given a hard run by some on here. Yes he lacked the explosiveness and probably a decent pass but his game was solid enough it did the job. Would have been playing in a GF if not for an untimely hamstring injury.

Opacic was way underrated. Defensively excellent and would run good lines and always backing up...he should've been locked up. Wouldn't cost much either.
Also think Russell, Penisini only getting better and Dylbro should explode next yr

Is he worn out or does he need to improve his fitness? Is 45-55 minutes really a lot?

I don't think merkins go to the UK for peanuts. They won't be on $700k+ but they'd be on a lot more than the NRL minimum salary.

What about when he literally took his shoes off and was interviewd by Channel 9 in shorts when we beat the Cowboys in the prelim to make the GF.

What a classless dingo westy.

If I was the coach of our team, you'd think I slept in a suit.
I almost literally laughed out loud

Opacic was he best of the three of them. Can't overrate defence.

He was predictably poor last season. My greatest concern is he dosent appear be be aware of this and make his $950 commitment to Our Eels a priority moving forward. This is one of our captains mind you.
Our season has been over a few weeks now and looking at his recent boxing training pics, he looks fitter than at any stage last season. Go figure.
Maybe he should make boxing his priority and stop thieving of us

Agree....looks very fit.
Mind you knowing he can earn truckloads post footy he's probably give it a massive crack now. Gallen earned bucketloads and no reason the current crop NAS, TPJ, Tamololo, Paulo etc can't either. However I'm thinking wouldn't these blokes eventually have to fight each other to become Aus champ, pan pacific champ, Oceania champ, north east south west champ, down under champ...the list goes on
Gallon won’t remember his name in a couple of years
