I do wonder though if he would be a different player today, especially now with all the rule changes and how playmakers mostly play in dinner suits today. Remember he was only a baby playing in a wrestle dominated game of giants back then. The game is so different now and he is way more seasoned, so who knows?

But I don't think it will ever happen while he is at his peak anyway since he is so well paid over there. Pity cos I would love to see how he would go. It wouldn't surprise me if he starred, after all look at the size of Jayden Campbell and to me they are both very similar in the way they have speed, footwork, size and talent when Bevan French first hit the scene.

Good attack and defence but their composure is what I like most. And most impressive is how Shaun Johnson is playing. AW has finally extracted the real talent that this player has, that no one else has, at the end of his career. Imagine Moses, with all the talent he has, finally extracting all that and translating that onto the footy field. With a few tweaks to the roster (more speed) our team could finally become the powerhouse it should be. But will management be positive or accept second best as always?

The last time I watched him play for Manly I didnt think he was half bad. That said bringing in a suspect defender into our D structure dosent sound like the best career move for him. Maybe our D will become a focus in 2024. Wouldnt that be amazing. Very exciting.

I was going to say the same thing no way he joins us just to play at Wenty.. It's not putting him in the shop window if he wants a longer NRL contract..

He looks a good coach, for sure, but so did Todd Payten in 2022. Anything could happen this year with the Warriors. If Harris and Johnson get injured they’ll be worse than f**ked.

That would happen to any team if they lose their Halfback. Even the Panthers don't get into the GF let alone win it.

I think you will find that the Cowboys had a season like us where they just kind of thought it would happen for them and it didn't.

I would be surprised if they don't make the 8 next year. My only real caveat to that is injuries and Townsend who is now getting on. But I think they have to much talent in that roster and good enough to make it anyway.

The cowboys were mocked at for signing Chad Townsend at end of 2021.

He had a decent season proving the doubters wrong but I may be wrong is he the only halfback to win a premiership without any rep honours since Shane Perry of 2006.

He has been up and down as a half for almost all his career. He is steady when he is playing well and just does his job. But it will be 2024 next season and he is getting to the stage that he could be more rocks then zirconia's.
