Just on the Curtis Scott comment. Reading the article it seems he has taken complete ownership of his behaviour and is in total remorse. He doesn’t drink and goes to AA meetings.
He has requested he has a no alcohol clause in a contract by his own request.
At 26 years years old he is asking for a bare minimum deal and permission from NRL.
A premiership winning centre…Sounds like the perfect project.

So who is going to analyse the new draw for us and tell us if it’s good or bad?

I want it on my desk by the end of the day!
Shafted by the NRL yet again! Playing most of the 2023 top teams twice, playi9ng minnows less, five 5 day turnarounds and playing 5? teams after a bye. Who on the NRL's board really hates us and don't we have some say in the draw before announced? Ball dropped big time by someone!

I've got no qualms with Scott getting another crack in the NRL, I personally just never really rated him as a player.

He had big wraps on him as a junior at the Sharks, the Storm snuck under their guard and managed to sign him, he came straight into a gun team as a kid and won a comp.

Then went off the rails down there couldn't crack first grade, went to Canberra in a decent enough team and looked bog average.

Been playing bush footy last few seasons.

Not for mine.

*Edit apologies wasn't aware of the charge against the woman... jog on son, lucky to be playing bush footy.

It isn't the NRL directing the draw. It's Channel Nine. They want the biggest rating games available. Unfortunately, Parramatta, regardless of where we sit in the competition draw good television audiences. Channel Nine dictate the draw and PVL is more than happy to accomodate them. The club has corresponded with the NRL in the past and tried to fix the situation - particularly where we are playing teams off the bye and the short turn arounds - three times in five weeks next season. Unfortunately we don't have Gould or Politis at the helm of the club so the NRL won't do squat.

On a personal note, I don't think he should be allowed anywhere near the NRL ever again. That goes for anyone involved in cases of domestic violence. The fact the NRL have a Voice Against Violence policy yet still allow players back into the NRL is highly hypocritical. I don't care how good or bad he plays. That Michael Jennings is being considered by the Roosters and Dylan Brown wasn't dealt with more harshly just highlights the hypocrisy....

Not sure if it's Nien dictating the Draw the first game isn't on Nien and the first Thursday game is the Knights V Raiders.

I do believe the NRL is pandering to someone or some sides though..

Nine have already expressed their desire to move the Eels V Bulldogs game to Thursday night rather than the Knights v Raiders. I believe there is a scheduling issue otherwise it would have moved. Still time though I guess.

He assaulted a woman multiple times (including choking her), and also stalked and intimidated her (including threats to kill her) over a period of time. In my opinion he’s a maggot and I don’t want him anywhere near this club.

I agree there is hypocrisy but it shouldn’t preclude us from signing him. I’d be grabbing him. Everyone deserves a second chance even though in his case it’s probably got up to 3 or 4 chances.

Todd Carney was run out of the game for pissing in his own mouth.

You should not be given multiple chances as Scott has had...

Brown should be on his last chance as well.

He has had multiple chances - much more than three or four - just like most NRL clubs, ours included, will only act on information that becomes public. I would rather he not be welcomed at any club.

Well, I think the bubbler thing was the straw that broke the camels back. The guy had a rap sheet.

Check this out for Sharkies culture - WTF Flanno.

On 18 January 2019, Carney appeared on the NRL podcast titled "Bloke in a bar". Carney was asked by host Denan Kemp about the incident which saw his contract terminated by Cronulla. Carney said that his "Bubbler" act had been performed by another teammate Bryce Gibbs. Carney claimed the "Bubbler" became part of celebrations after each win.

The bubbler was the final straw. There was:

- Drink driving and reckless driving
- A police pursuit while he was disqualified
- Pissing on a bloke in a nightclub
- A vandalism spree in Goulburn where he damaged a car and a shopfront
- Set a man’s pants on fire causing burns

100% agree but any act against a female or Violence towards anyone should be a first and only strike.
