So if we've got plenty of money left in the Cap what is stopping us saying to anyone at the bottom end of the Top 30, here's your full contract amount, you're free to take the rest of the year off. If you find another team to play for, then go for it. Surely another NSW Cup or Qld Cup team would give them a run if they didn't have to pay them much.

Talagi is obviously a talent and rated. Question is what position. If centre then its just a matter of waiting for him to be ready. Most likely 2025. So it is possible they aren't going to recruit but have money and are front loading.

Then why the hell did we sign Morgan fricken Harper, especially if the club knows we need an outside back, we have money to spend and he just took one of the last spots in our top 30?

Perhaps our R&R committee need some maths tutoring?
Insurance. They're not sure he's really ready

If Joe can get his early career form back we will have a pretty handy forward pack. He did go backwards at the Tigers.

8. Barlow
9.
10. Reg
11. Lane
12. Carty
13. Hopgood

14. Matto
15. Joe
16. Grieg
17. Tualigi

18. Moretti

Didnt go backwards at the Tigers, he improved. Broncos got rid of him for a reason (his contract was not up) and he played SoO at the Tigers. Good player, better guy. This is his level. You will see.

Played 1 game for QLD at the Tigers in 2021... He didnt improve at the Tigers I don't think anyone has improved going to that club.

When I talk about patience - I am talking about the next two to three months before the start of the season as opposed to the waiting between 1986 and now. Things are happening, of that I am confident. There will be player movements and we are starting to see them at the moment at the Sharks and Bulldogs. I am of the opinion that this will be the start of more.

I am reliably informed that it is $ 5.80 per week more than what the Tigers are offering Luai
The Luai offer would have to be north of $1m, especially to go to a basket case of W-T, which is way more than what Dyl is paid, whatever that is.
I find him to mature and a little stuffy for my liking. But he does on occasion have some decent insights on things.

It's the pompousness that he swings around that puts me off, but then again I have been known to exude my own type of lets say ego too on occasion.

Only Hindy can be said to be near perfect. The rest of us are just making up the numbers.
Hindy is only 85% perfect - 'near' denotes a figure closer to 100%..

If so why did we take up club option on Ogden and promote Cini?
Makes the Moimesea contract even more embarrassing.

Not going to argue this isn't a mistake.

Cini, as has already been explained, was something the club couldn't work around due to the nature of his contract upgrade two seasons ago. There is still opportunity to move him on.

The club shouldn't have taken up the option on Ogden with Momoisea still at the club - so that would suggest that he is still a chance of being moved at this stage overseas would be my likely guess.

The leaks have dried up at the club so it's hard to get any real concrete idea of what is happening but with money to spend managers and clubs will be looking for better deals across all clubs and competitions.

As I've said before. I think 2024 will be a good year. I also think 3 or 4 guys from that SG ball side will be NRL players and Matalele has potential.
The side I am putting a few pennies on winning the title however at $31 is Manly.
If TURBO remains fit which is a huge if they have a great spine. Brooks will be great with DCE. I'd play Schuster at 2nd row along with big Oka and that is explosive. Throw in Jake the and Lodge,Paseka and Alioi. The packs ok.
The backline is young and explosive and full of depth. Koula and Saab will light it up. Some serious speed and both now have some experience.
I guess heaps depends in Tommy turbo
Dunno, their forwards are inconsistent but as you say they are a one player team. Control Turbo you control Moanly and Panthers always seem to control any teams most dangerous player/s. This is something we need to learn!
