Agree. But to be fair he did have a bung shoulder in the Grand final. Still managed 14 LBAS and 13 TAs this season. And 90% tackle efficiency.

Moses had 15 TA's and 11 LBAs. Tackled at 79%.

D.Brown had 16 TAs. And was far more consistent. Spread over 12/17 games so only 5 duck eggs.

Of Moses 15 TA's only 2 come against top 8 sides. One against Newcastle ( Who we put 40+ on) and one against the Storm( Who put 40+ on us) Moses went 12/19 games not creating a TA so shut down. 8 of his TA'S come in two games. Against South and Tigers.

Stats don't lie. Moses needs to be able to unlock good defenses.

I'm not a huge fan of Moses.

Very talented, but he will never be able to do what Cleary did in the 2023 Grand Final - take the game by the scruff of the neck when your team needs you to.

He's happy to beat up on bottom 8 teams, but is inconsistent against top 8 teams.

Yep. I was a little suprised that he was shut down in so many games and only managed 2 x TA's against top 8 sides.
His skill against weak sides who we dominate shines but needs to do it against the top sides more often.

It’s why I am continually pushing for Brown to have more to do, and while Moses is here and the number 1 playmaker Brown will continue to take the back seat.

Them two are on over about 2.2m, is that good cap usage??

Surely tactically we just play them as left and right playmakers of equal standing? Gets Dylan more involved, and makes us less predictable to opposition defences.

And try and teach whoever our nuffy hooker will be this year (instead of Hodgson) to share things more equally - or to read the game and go to the side where it looks like there's attacking inroads to be made!

I actually prefer they not do that hahhahhaha

Id rather they play traditional 6 and 7 where one passes to other and include run around or if one sees a gap, they run

I actually liked the style moylan and hynes played in 2023

Is Lussick a certainty or is HANDS a chance still?
It will be interesting .... BA has traditionally liked a 80 minute dummy half who will just defend and not overplay in attack ..... a fit Lussick seems to be able to do that. It was interesting he got the start late in the season - so they seem to rate him over Hands ..... Hands seems, well handy - was reliable when first came in last year (maybe anyone but broken Hodgson was gonna look good?), but never really went to another level

Hands played within himself but sometimes players will take on more responsibility with more experience. I think Hands certainly has more of an attacking game then we have seen and is a bigger threat then Lussick.
But I reckon Lussick is a better defender and bigger body with a bit more confidence.

Hands I think has potential to improve where Lussick is probably at his peak.

How does that make them less predictable 😂

The Moses kicking game, thats what we are paying a million for.

Haha not sure we’ll see anyone do what Cleary done in the 2023 gf. I think you’re being a little harsh

Do you like Hands?

For me he played out of his skin initially, and the early games we had enough possession not to notice his defensive woes. But he made more mistakes as time went on - regression to the mean?

Personally I feel safer with Lussick. And we know BA doesn't encourage a lot of running anyway, so he ticks all the boxes
