Were players really responsible for shutting down their opposite number, even back then? I’m sure defence has always been a team effort.
lol you continually love talking down the achievements, skill, talent and success of past champion players. All the while continually supporting to the death a mediocre coach and an even more mediocre coaching staff. Let’s not forget the list of plodders you have blown triple ropers over the years all the while calling anyone remotely negative of the club a dumb simple troll.

You’ve become an embarrassing parody of yourself, can’t wait for all the Pou Dags to come to your defence all the while labelling me a troll lol.

Whatever happens this year we should have a plan in place on what to do for 2025 and beyond coaching wise. I’d be instilling that plan by mid season and indicate to BA what the minimum requirement is.

We just can’t keep re-signing him for stability sake if he hasn’t jagged us a premiership. I’d be looking at someone like Holbrook who has already settled back in Sydney , John Morris or even Dean Pay. No more rookies.
Or Bennett.

Loudest in the room doesn't always get what they want.

A lot of what you stated are decisions that are not going to be reversed, so what is the point in causing a fuss in the media?

Also how do we know that Sarantinos isn't in continuous communication with the NRL behind the scenes?
Loudest in the media (not the room or in-house) gets it out in the public, and more importantly, out to fans. The more noise you make the better imo. After all the noisy wheel gets the grease so we want the noise.

Any reason why Blaize name is not on the nrl Eels development list?
Just an oversight on their part?
Development players can now play nrl from round 1?
This is a mystery. Was included in top 30 early, then removed, and doesn't appear anywhere now, not even of dev list. Even TCT don't know whats going on. Hopefully hasn't been a naughty boy and dropped as a few here have said he is a very good player. Anyone with inside info know whats going on?

Thanks for proving my point. At every NRL club (other than Cowboys) he went to he brought success. That is what talent does and that is what Richo has done over a proven track record.

Sheens is one of the greatest coaches ever. Tim Sheens and Bea Arthur have an impressive 4 premierships between them.

BA will never get a premiership. Hasn't got the nuts

those who played the game in that era, professionally or not were always told how important it was to get one over your opposing number, in particular in the 6s and 7s who pretty much followed each other all game in particular at the scrum base.

much more prevalent back then it is now.
I remember the ad that talks about all the times one might feel like a Tooheys. One of these is when your opposite number scores a try. I always thought it was dumb, but then I guess Tooheys drinkers would know better. Plus my opposite number always scored plenty of tries, and I never gave a shit.

And yet Sheens won an impressive 4 games last year, a third as many as Arthur's did in his 'disastrous' 12 win season. You have to ask yourself, if Richardson is really that good, why isn't he at a better club?

Actually, Sheens only won 3 games last year.....and was SACKED.
In 2018 Arthur only won 6 games....and is still in the same job six years later......

You are making an excellent case for rewarding mediocrity. Unfortunately the Tigers have proven over the last 12 years its an unsuccessful formula and its time for a different approach.

You have to ask yourself why you care so much about tearing down the Tigers rebuild? Insecurity? An uneasy feeling as a neighbouring sleeping giant starts to get its act together as Parra attempts to "same old same old" its way back into the 8?

Well yeah, he won twice as many games.

We just missed the finals by one win, and the year before that we made the grand final. Our ‘mediocrity’ is very different from yours.

We expect to make the eight every year. The Tigers just hope to. The two clubs aren’t the same.

Im not comparing the two teams. Parra have been much more successful than the Tigers clearly. I'm responding to you denigrating the Tigers efforts to rebuild. Seems that you think we should have kept Sheens, Pascoe & Hagipantellis.

I mean he is no Mark ONeill but Richo was successful at Sharks, Penrith, Souffs, all the while keeping his clothes on......but somehow we shouldnt have signed him as CEO because he accepted the offer? You are right, should have stayed with Pascoe...safer.
