Lachlan Metcalfe - Apparently a promising young half. Anyone HEARD anything? I don't have a source so I can post what I read on another site. Otherwise it is deleted for no source.

Metcalfe is a Wenty junior and was in the Eels development system until this year. Highly touted, played up a year u16 Dev 1, won PDJRL player of the year & repped NSWCHS at the national champs. Unfortunately the Roosters have poached him and he’s currently #7 for their Matts squad a year young. The aim is to keep promising players in our system but who’s to know how things play out? With all clubs/Union circling maybe the junior recruitment team had to prioritise other promising players?

Oh ok. So he is like 15? As much as you don't want to lose good kids at that age it's hard to even tell what there potential is.

Definitely mate lots of water to go under the bridge until this kid even reaches Flegg. Coming to terms with the loss of Sanders is a bigger pill to swallow right now and even that will mean sweet f**k all if Moses & Brown keep playing at a high level.

He's signed a 2 year deal, that finishes by the time he gets to SG Ball age. He might be a bit of a mercenary going to the highest bidder already?
